Neo-Queen Serenity Neo Queen Serenity makes her first appearance after the Rainbow Crystals are recovered and combined during a battle between the Sailors and Malachite and Zoisite. From that point on, Sailormoon is able to use the powers of the ginzhuishou when needed to assume the form and powers of Neo-Queen Serenity. As Neo-Queen Serenity, the purity of heart she displays in each of her other forms is magnified. She has unparallelled control over matters of the soul, and has used this ability to reach those under intense influence of evil. Neo_queen Serenity's primary power comes from the ginzhuishou. She can use it to project a powerful beam of energy at an opponent, or shield a small planetoid from the re-entry through the Earth's atmosphere. Using the ginzhuishou in this manner is dangerous because of the amount of energy needed to sustain the ability. In the mid-to-late 21st century, an unspecified global ecological disaster occurs. It is not stated whether the disaster itself froze the Earth or whether Neo_Queen Serenity froze the Earth in order to let the ecosystem repair itself. The end result was the same however...the planet was in a state of suspended animation for over 1000 years. After that, the manga and anime versions of the series diverge on what happens. In the manga, Neo-Queen Serenity uses the ginzhuishou to revive the people of Earth and then attempts to purity the planet to prepare it for the creation of the city of Crystal Tokyo. Those who refuse clensing leave Earth to establish a new civilization on Nemesis. In the anime version, an alien race starts a war with Neo-Quen Serenity and Crystal Tokyo. After a torturous conflict, Neo-Queen Serenity's forces are victorious. Neo-Queen Serenity then offers the vanquished aliens the choice of being clensed and joining the civilization of Crystal Tokyo or they can accept exile to Nemesis. It was sometime after this first conflict that Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion (Mamoru's future self) had a daughter they named Chibusa. A few years later, Chibusa stole the ginzuishou in order to become "a real lady, just like mommy." The crystal reacts to Chibusa and is absorbed into her body. Once that happens, Crystal Tokyo is left defenseless, and the Dark Moon family uses that opportunity to attack. The attack nearly killed Neo-Queen Serenity, but the Sailors managed to encase her in a quartz shell and shield her from the brunt of the Dark Moon attack. Although the evil forces were able to conquer the Earth and occupy most of Crystal Tokyo, they were never able to penetrate into the Crystal Palace. Once Sailor Moon and the other Sailors defeated the Wiseman (with the help of the 20th century version of Neo-Queen Serenity), Neo-Queen Serenity was revived, and she resumed her reign as the ruler of Crystal Tokyo.
