When the Zeon realized they needed a unit capable of atmospheric flight, they beagn using the MS-07B Gouf as the basis for the upgrades. The eighth version of this Flight Type was the MS-07H8 Gouf. Equipped with an improved backpack and more powerful thrusters as well as thermonuclear jet engines. Aerodynamic wings were added to the backpack and waist armor giving it more stability during flight. Unfortunately, the H8 Type suffered the same problems as the previous versions and the project was abandoned.
