| How Luminus Works: Perhaps the first organization of its kind, Luminus is an organization that is dedicated to both researching the paranormal, protecting those involved, and the observation of unusual natural phenomena. In order to facilitate this, the organization is divided into researchers and spotters. Luminus spotters are contacted when an incident is discovered, and a team of two is dispatched to the site. This team is primarily responsible for the safety of anyone involved, and for securing the site. This team will report their involvement and findings, upon which a research team will be sent to the site to conduct any further research and study necessary. This information will be recorded and filed, and all results and conclusions logged. So what does Luminus Veritas determine to be 'paranormal', and what do we consider an unusual natural phenomena? By 'paranormal', we refer to activities such as, but not limited to by any means, hauntings, ghosts, poltergeists, orbs, imprints, spirits, and ectoplasm. By unusual natural phenomena, for example, we're looking for hurricanes of unusual intensity or taking an unpredicted and unusual path, earthquakes of high magnitude, unusual location or duration, volcanic eruptions, unusual astronomical events-you get the idea. The Purpose: By study, investigation, and careful record-keeping, we hope to gain a better overall understanding of these occurences, and create an overall record of such occurences for the future and for research. We hope that this will enable us to better understand why events are occuring as they are, where they are most often occuring, and how such things come to occur. We hope to help ensure the safety of everyone, and help assist in any way we possibly can. This assistance is not necessarily limited to paranormal or unusual occurences; our Spotters are willing and able to give aid and assistance for any situation to the best of their abilities, regardless of the occurence or need. This can even include such things as setting up a donation fund, or simply providing a sympathetic ear and pointing one in the right direction-whatever is needed!
