How fitting that the proverbial Patriarch that started it all for the Clan (for the purposes of this site's genealogy, in any case) bears the name of he who is my sire and that I have dubbed "O Melhor Dos Pimentels"...
Verily, this does reinforce the claim that much more...!
Of all Pimentels, past and present, Joao is the only name that reoccurs in every generation; and it does so not because of any generic value but truly, each time, to dutifully honor the preceding worthy name-bearer - in occurrence, my father was named after his uncle who was himself named after the Patriarch here, my honorable great-grandfather!
A cousin was named after my father...
If I have a son, he will also be named after my father. :)
