80s Cars Part Deux
The 1986 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z
Ah, the Camaro IROC series is undoubtedly one of the most 80s car lines in history. Running 305 V8s instead of the once standard 350, thanks to the EPA, this car still produced a surplus of horsepower for its time. Apon the arrival of the 1987 production year, it was once again made available with the 350. The IROC had a big shoe to fill, playing it's role opposite Ford's Mustang 5.0. These two battled it out as the two most prominent muscle cars throughout the decade.
BRINGING YOU A DOUBLE DOSE OF AWESOME ANACRONISMS
The 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0
The Mustang 5.0, large and in charge among the Mustang indeavor, and definately better than the sepositories they've got us driving today. It had style, grace, and it towered over the earlier models released during the "Dark Years" of Mustang (Second Generation). Also, the four-cylander Mustangs popular in the late 70s and earlier in the 80s began to be phased out of existence, good news for the cult-like following of trailer-trash  who sought to modify the V8 models.
By now, I'm sure you're wondering what was going on with the European car market in the 1980s. The Porshe 928 is known for it's agressive handling, it's front- engine eight cylander, and it's "Un-Porshe" appearance. In the late 70s, the first of the modern front- engine Porshes were built, but sadly they were discontinued due

to the fact that the bean counters at the Porshe research and development center felt that the competition in the front-engine eight cylander market was too intense to keep on top of. Thus ended the production of one of the baddest ass European cars in history. Don't worry though, you can pick one up for around $4,500  U.S. if you know where to look.

AND NOW, ON TO
Being the ultimate master of Microsoft piant, I was able to single-handedly create the image you see at right. By cutting, sizing, and pasting, I created what I believe to be the most 80s picture ever created outside of the actual 1980s. First of all, it was taken at the Tropics Hotel in Miami Florida, which is without a doubt the most 80s place on the surface of the Earth. Secondly, the pink neon font is killer, and the '82 Corvette adds a tonnage of 80s Aura. Kick ass.
