| Special Memories |
| Kim and I have been dating since October 26, 2001. Before we started dating, we had seen each other in church and were mutually interested, except we never talked to each other. I would usher and she would come down my aisle. I was scared, b/c she taught at my little brother's school and I didn't know if I should call her Kim or Miss De Groot! Finally we started talking. Our first conversation was after church one night. I then subsequently asked her for the weekend. That weekend we went to a "Haunted Prison". My plan was to get her scared so she would have to cling to me and/or hold my hand. My plan seems to have worked (wink wink). Another special memory is from Monsters, Inc., a movie, where I first asked Kim if I could hold her hand. =) Christmas 2001 was a favorite memory b/c that year I went out to California to visit Kim's family. I saw where my Almond Blossom grew up, her house, friends, and school. We drove to light houses, sat on the beach, played cards, visited Alcatraz, the Golden gate bridge, and other sites. On the flight out in the Nashville airport I even went into the wrong bathroom! Some other fond memories include picnics at Argonne and Lake Catherine, Great America, and visiting downtown Chicago for museums and just to walk. And of course who could forget the long drive to Canada for Leslie's wedding? We must have stopped at every rest area and we even listened to a book on tape!
