My TR47 Fanfic Chapter IX: Duel of the Fates
Tac and I both prepared to battle.  We both knew what the result
of the battle would determine.  We were battling for TR47.  This
would be the ultimate battle.

Tac made the first move.  He charged toward me with amazing speed
with Tackle.  I dodged easily, despite how fast he was going.  As
he blazed past me, I shot a powerful Psybeam at him.  He wasn't
able to avoid it, and it hit him dead center.  He flew into the
wall, then got up.

I stood there calculating his damage points as the Psybeam hit
him.  I knew that on a Psychic-type Pok?mon, my Psybeam could do
upwards of 400 points damage, enough to faint a fairly strong
psychic Pok?mon.  Tac didn't seem to be even phased.  He must've
had at least 5,000.  I didn't even want to think hoe much damage
he could deal, and I wasn't about to find out any time soon.

Tac formed a ball of energy and threw it at me, which I
deflected.  It flew through the roof, leaving a large hole.

"Are you toying with me?" I asked Tac.

Tac only smiled, then charged up a Thunder attack.  A bolt of
electricity shot out of Tac's body and no matter what I did, it
seemed to follow me.  I was hit by the Thunder attack and was
thrown to the floor.

I got up immediately, hoping that Tac hadn't already prepared his
next attack.  Sure enough, he had.  He used a powerful Fire
Blast, which pushed me back into the wall as it struck me.  I
wasn't burned too badly, but the damage was beginning to show.

I returned the favor by using my strongest Aeroblast, which was
actually a fairly uncommon attack.  I knew the attack from
studying the various attacks of Pok?mon.  Lugia specialized in
Aeroblast.  The beam of energy hit Tac, sending him flying across
the battle arena.

Tac landed at the base of the far wall and got up slowly.  My
attack must have done quite a bit of damage, because he moved
considerably slower after that.  Tac was obviously becoming
extremely agitated now.  I was actually beating him in battle.

The previous battle we had wasn't really a battle, because I was
using hidden powers which not even Tac could defy.  Tac wanted to
make sure that I didn't find a way to summon those powers again.
If I did, Tac would lose a second time.  My own confidence was
preventing me from finding those powers a second time.  Tac knew
that, which is why he was actually allowing me to hit him with my
attacks.

Tac decided that he'd had enough.  If this continued, he would
lose.  I was about to use a metronome to finish the battle when
Tac suddenly flew up into the air.  He did a flip in the air and
dove toward the ground, planting his fist a few inches into the
concrete of the arena.

I immediately knew what had just happened.  Tac was using
Earthquake.  The Earthquake attack had been known to leave large
cracks in the ground, and I wasn't about to hang around to find
out what Tac's would do.  I tried to fly into the air, but
something was preventing me from doing so.

Suddenly the entire arena began to shake violently.  The roof
began to collapse as large pieces fell.  Suddenly the ground
around Tac split open and a large crack headed straight for me.
The ground instantly split open under me and I fell backwards
into the crack.

I screamed as I fell, and suddenly I was engulfed in a red glow.
In that instant, everything went silent.  I could hear nothing,
see nothing, and feel nothing.  The only thing I had was my
thoughts.  All of my senses were completely useless for some
reason.

"Where am I?"  I thought as I turned my head, trying in vain to
see something.

I screamed loudly, but no sound came to my ears.  I was trapped
in an unknown place, with only my thoughts to keep me alive.

<Time to switch over to a narrator's point of view.>

Tac smiled in triumph.  The last member of Team Rocket47 had been
captured.  Right as Luke had fallen into the crack, Tac had
thrown a Master Ball down after him.  Luke had been immediately
captured, then the Master Ball flew out of the crack and into
Tac's waiting hand.

Tac looked around at once had been a battle arena.  It was now in
ruins due to his powerful Earthquake attack.  He had finally
accomplished his goal, and he had a few matters of business to
take care of before he would be completely finished.

Tac flew to the Team Rocket47 cabin, the looked around.  He used
a Psybeam to break a hole in one wall, then walked inside.  He
was in the kitchen of the cabin.  He walked around for a few
minutes, admiring all the hard work that had gone into it.  Too
bad it would all go to waste.

Tac walked to where Joey's lab was, breaking the doors down that
were in his way.  The first thing he did was teleport Joey's
inventions to his own laboratory.  After that, he released a
pulse of energy.  Test tubes and glass containers all around the
room shattered immediately.  Some of the contents from separate
containers mixed together, and moments later they ignited.
Joey's lab was a raging inferno a few minutes later as the
various chemicals began to burn or explode.

Tac's next stop was the new training facility.  It was all too
easy for him too find it.  It was in the exact same spot as it
had been in the previous cabin.  He didn't want to kill innocent
Pok?mon, because they would be of some use to him.  He
transported all the Pok?balls stored there to his lab, then used
Fire Blasts throughout the facility.

Tac left the facility, then headed back to the cabin.  There was
smoke coming out the open windows, but the inferno in Joey's lab
wouldn't be enough to completely destroy the entire cabin.  Tac
shot yet another Fire Blast into a window, leaving another part
of the cabin in flames.

He stepped inside the cabin, and found himself in Luke's old
room.  The sketches Joey had made were hanging on the wall in
there.  Tac used a Flamethrower attack, bathing the wall in
flames.  He laughed as the sketches burned away quickly, reducing
them all to ashes.

Tac left the cabin and watched for a few minutes as the fire
spread to other parts of the cabin.  He walked over to the garage
that was holding Luke's Mustang and Joey's motorcycle.  He
would've normally kept them for himself, but they belonged to
people he hated.

He used a Psybeam on Joey's motorcycle, causing pieces of metal
to fly in all directions.  He then used another one on Luke's
Mustang, causing it to explode in a large fireball.  The entire
garage was destroyed moments later as Tac let out another
powerful pulse of energy.

After the cabin and training facility were both completely in
flames, Tac flew to the second cabin, which was owned by Michelle
and Luke.  Tac savored every moment as he walked through the
cabin, destroying various objects as he went.  He eventually got
to the bedroom.  On the bed was a quilt, the same one that Luke
had received from his grandmother so many years ago.

To Tac, the quilt represented something else.  He ripped the
quilt off the bed and tore it to pieces with his bare hands, then
set fire to the bedroom.  Tac began to get nervous that somebody
would be alerted by the smoke coming from the area, so he got a
little ways from the cabin and gathered a massive ball of energy.
He threw the ball of energy at the cabin and it was instantly
incinerated.  The only thing that remained of the cabin was the
foundation it had sat on.

Tac went back to the headquarters and did the same to the cabin
and the training facility.  However, when the training facility
was incinerated, the ground above it caved in, leaving a massive
hole where the underground training facility had once been.

Tac flew triumphantly back to his laboratory.  TR47 had been
destroyed once and for all.  Nothing remained of the
headquarters, and all of the members there had been captured.
Once he got to his lab, he put all the Master Balls containing
the captive members in a special machine.

The machine sent the Master Balls to another part of the lab,
which contained Tac's holding tanks.

<Just a note, the holding tanks are just like the one in Pok?mon:
The First Movie.  Specifically, the one that held Mewtwo.>

Tac transformed to his human form, then walked to the area
containing the holding tanks.  In each of the glass tubes there
was a single Master Ball.  Tac had been prepared for this
somehow, so there were enough tanks for all the members he had
captured.

Tac pressed a few buttons and the glass tanks began to fill with
liquid.  Once they were all full, the Master Balls disappeared.
The prisoners, however, stayed in the chambers.  They were all
unconscious at this time, so Tac had nothing to worry about yet.

The two humans, Jads and Ira, would have to be dealt with
separately.  Tac would turn them into Pok?mon of some sort, but
he wasn't sure yet.  He would probably just turn them both into
Mews or something.  He couldn't risk using his own DNA, because
they might become too powerful.

As for the others who were already Pok?mon, Tac would have to use
special brainwashing techniques to convince them to join him.
That wouldn't be necessary for Jads and Ira, because his
transformation machine would do that for him when they turned
into Pok?mon.

Tac left the lab, making sure to activate the security systems.
He was going to pay a special visit to Team Rocket.  Tac had
destroyed the Team Rocket headquarters a while back, but somehow
most of the members had survived.  Giovanni hadn't even been in
the headquarters when it went up in smoke.  Jesse, James, and
Meowth had been with him as well as quite a few others.  Somehow
they knew that Tac was going to get revenge for being kicked out,
so they all left.

Tac knew where the new Team Rocket Headquarters was located.  He
teleported himself right to Giovanni's desk rather than going
through the entire headquarters to find him.  Giovanni was quite
chocked to see him.

"Tac!  I told you to never some here again!" Giovanni yelled.

"Ah, but I have a proposition for you, Giovanni," Tac replied.

Giovanni stood up, bright red in the face.  "Get out."

Tac didn't move.  Instead, he stepped toward Giovanni.

"What are you doing?"  Giovanni said.  "Don't come any closer!"

Giovanni pulled out a gun, but Tac teleported it out of the room.
He then stepped right up to Giovanni and looked him in the eyes.
Giovanni froze as if he was being hypnotized.  He closed his eyes
and saw a vision of everything that had happened, from the start
of the battle, to the point when Tac teleported to his desk.

After the vision ended, Giovanni opened his eyes and looked at
Tac.  "Is it true?  Did all that really happen?"

"See for yourself," Tac replied.

Tac handed Giovanni the tag which had been in Joey's ear so many
years.  Rather than a dog tag, it was a small earring with tiny
lettering engraved in it.  Giovanni put the earring under a
microscope and read the lettering out loud.

"Joey.  Female Mew.  Created from the DNA of the first Mew.
Property of Team Rocket."

Giovanni stepped away from the microscope and pulled the earring
off the glass slide.  That earring was Team Rocket's way of
identifying their creations.  It was the same for both males and
females.  They would wear the earring without even realizing that
it was proof that they belonged to Team Rocket.  They would
consider the earring to be their most prized possession if they
escaped.

Joey was no exception.  She had worn that single earring day-in,
day-out, ever since the day she escaped from Team Rocket's lab.
To her and the others, it was normal for Joey to wear it.

"So, what is this proposition you have for me?"  Giovanni finally
said.

"Well," Tac began, "I was thinking that if you let me back into
Team Rocket, I could help Team Rocket become much more than it
has been.  With the members of Team Rocket47 on our side, we'll
be unstoppable."

Giovanni smiled at the concept, and held his hand out to Tac.
Tac put his hand in Giovanni's and the deal was sealed.  Tac was
a member of Team Rocket once again, and the members of Team
Rocket47 belonged to Team Rocket as well.  It would take a while
to convince them of that, especially Joey.  She had made a
promise to herself to always fight Team Rocket to the end.

Tac then grabbed Giovanni and he was about to leave the office.
Giovanni spun around to see what else Tac wanted.

"I have one more thing I want you to know," Tac said.

Tac then transformed into his Mewtwo form, and Giovanni stepped
back in shock.  After getting over the shock of seeing Tac
transform into a Mewtwo, Giovanni chuckled evilly.  That would
also help tremendously.  Giovanni knew how much of a genius Tac
was, so he was without a doubt the most powerful psychic Pok?mon
on the planet.

Tac transported all the members of Team Rocket47 to Team Rockets
Laboratory, which contained similar holding tanks.  They still
hadn't regained consciousness, and Tac was getting impatient.  He
didn't dare use drugs to wake them up, because he wasn't sure
what the effects would be if he did.

After a few more days, some of them showed signs of improvement.
Kat was the first to wake up.  She looked around, then saw where
she was.  There was a large red R painted on the far wall where
the door was, which told Kat right then that she was at Team
Rocket's headquarters.

Nobody was in the room when she regained consciousness, but she
was too weak to stay conscious anyway, and slipped back into
unconsciousness.

The next day, as if on cue, all of the members began to wake up.
Kat was the first awake since she had already gained
consciousness once, followed by the others.  Within the time
space of about an hour, they were all wide awake.  Tac was there
to see it, and called in Giovanni.

Giovanni appeared a few minutes later.  He smiled when he saw
that they were all awake and completely alert.  He sat down
behind a computer console facing the tanks and turned to a
microphone there.

"I suppose you're all wondering why you are here.  Well, there's
somebody with me that I'm sure can explain it all to you much
better than I can."

Tac had been hiding, and stepped out behind Giovanni.  All of the
prisoners in the tanks gasped in horror.

"Well, well, it appears as if you have all been beaten.  Such a
pity.  The only one that put up a half-decent fight was Luke.  I
don't even know if I could call that a challenge."

Luke immediately began to become angry and turned red.

"Don't worry, though.  With a little training from myself, you'll
all become much more powerful than you currently are.  I'm sure
that you are wondering how this will be accomplished, Ira and
Jads, seeing as how you're both completely human."

Ira and Jads both nodded, a look of hostility and fear in their
eyes.

"I have that arranged already.  Since you're all awake now,
you'll be able to witness my latest invention; a machine which is
capable of turning any human into any Pok?mon without the need of
a DNA sample.  It took quite a bit of fine tuning for me to work
out, but I eventually got it working perfectly."

Finally Joey spoke up, but only psychically since she was
surrounded in fluid.

"What about Team Rocket47?" she asked.

"There is nothing left of it.  Not even rubble.  I took the
liberty of destroying it all after I beat Luke in battle.  It's a
shame.  If you would've all joined me when you had the choice,
none of this would've happened.  Now you don't have a choice.  By
the end of the week, you'll all be members of Team Rocket."

The members of Team Rocket47 knew right then that they had to
escape.

"And just in case you try to escape," Tac said, "I have set up a
powerful psychic barrier around the tanks.  Not even Luke could
break it, despite the fact that he has the ability to summon
massive amounts of hidden power."

Tac laughed, then he and Giovanni left.  The others all looked
around.  Somehow they would have to find a way to escape.  It
didn't matter what the cost was, they weren't going to become
members of Team Rocket.

Weeks passed, and they still weren't convinced that they were in
Team Rocket.  Their minds were set, and nothing Tac could do
would change that.  Not even the strongest treatment could force
them to believe they were members of Team Rocket.  After two
solid months of trying, Tac finally gave up and spent all his
time in his office devising a way to change their minds.

The entire time Tac had been trying to brainwash them, the
members of Team Rocket47 had been trying to escape.  No matter
how hard they tried to escape, the barrier was too strong and
always prevented them from doing so.  Luke had discovered how to
summon the powers he had hidden inside of him, but it still
wasn't enough to break through the barrier.

One day Luke came up with an ingenious idea.  Maybe they were
concentrating on the wrong thing.  Perhaps it wasn't the barrier
that they should've been trying to get through.  Luke
communicated his idea telepathically to the others who had
psychic powers, and they all agreed.

They all combined their powers and managed to get enough psychic
energy through the barriers to flip a breaker on the computer
console in the lab.  The fluid in the tanks drained out, and the
glass lowered.  With the glass down, the psychic barrier
disappeared as well.

No alarms rang out, thank goodness, so they all gathered together
as close as possible, then combined their powers and teleported
themselves as far away from the lab as possible.  They all found
themselves in an unknown area, and it was dark outside.

Luke checked his watch, and it was 1:30 A.M.  His watch had been
specially designed, so it automatically changed between time
zones.  Luke looked at the letters on the time zone indicator.
They were MST.  Luke thought for a moment, then realized
something.

"Hey guys, I think we're in Utah.  My watch says we're on
Mountain Standard Time, and it's 1:30 A.M. right now."

They had been teleported somewhere in a chain of mountains, so
they camped out there for the night.  Luke would figure out where
they were the next morning.  If someone found them, they would be
shocked to see a group of Pok?mon and two humans asleep.

They all woke up the next morning to a bright sunrise.  It was
only 6:00 A.M., but they were all used to getting very little
sleep and sometimes waking up early.  It wasn't very warm outside
yet, but their psychic barriers protected them from the cold.

As it got later, it began to warm up, so they began to venture
away from their camping spot.  They packed up all their gear a
few hours later and headed in a random direction.

After a few hours of walking, they came to a paved two-lane road.
They followed the road down the mountain for a while, then Luke
spotted a road sign.  It had a number on it which was 150.  They
were on State Route 150, and Luke knew exactly where that was.

"I know where we are," Luke said.

"You do?" Joey asked.

"Yes.  We're in the High Uintahs.  I used to go hiking and
backpacking here with my family before I left."

<Pronounce that you-in-tahs>

They then lifted off the ground and flew away quickly, following
the road.  Jads and Ira were both assisted by those that could
fly.  Since there were cars on the road, they all went invisible,
only to be seen by each other.  Anybody driving on the road
wouldn't see a thing.

They eventually followed the road until it joined up with a major
road that went right into Springville.  After only a few moments
longer, they arrived at Luke's house.  Luke landed on the ground,
and stood there in the front yard in shock.  The house was
abandoned.  His family had moved away without even telling him.

He was a bit irritated by this, but that was the least of their
problems.  Where would they stay without attracting attention to
themselves?  They would have to find money to build a new
headquarters somewhere away from Pok?mon Island.  Somewhere that
Tac didn't know about.

Luke went a few block down the street to the bank.  He
transformed into his complete human form and walked inside.  He
found out that his account had been closed, then was kicked out
for attempting to steal someone else's account.  The people there
didn't realize that it was really Luke.

All of Luke's 40-something million dollars had been given to the
government.  He was infuriated.  Because of inactivity, his
account had been closed.  The government had probably spent all
of Luke's money years ago.  Now where would they get their money?

Luke picked a newspaper up on the way out of the bank and a
headline on the front page caught his attention.

"Bill Gates is worth 200 billion dollars?!"

Luke then ran back to his house where the others were waiting.

"I know where we're going to get the money from," Luke said.  He
then tossed the newspaper in front of the others and they all
read it.

Immediately, they all flew to where Bill Gates lives.  It was a
long ways away, but they flew quickly.  They landed in front of
the massive mansion and looked around.  It was heavily guarded,
so Luke, Joey, and Michelle teleported into Bill Gates' office,
while the others waiting outside, looking like ordinary tourists
since they were all in human form.

Bill Gates was shocked when they teleported in.

"What do you want?" he said quietly.  He was obviously afraid.

"Can you give us $500 million so that we can build a new
headquarters?"

"$500 MILLION?!  ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!" he yelled.

"Give us the money," Joey said.

"Forget it," Bill Gates replied.

"Fine then."

Michelle, Luke, and Joey all simultaneously release a small
psychic attack on him, and he died instantly.  They then created
a fake will, signing his entire fortune over to them.  They found
a real will and read it over, then added the other junk to the
fake one.  They destroyed the real will, then put the fake one in
the spot.

A few days later, they were approached by a man wearing a suit.

"Are you all members of the organization known as Team Rocket47?"
They nodded.  "In that case, I'm here to inform you that Bill
Gates has passed on.  He is giving all his assets to you.  All
$200 billion."

Luke tried to act completely take back, as did the others.  The
money was transferred into their own special account at the
highest security bank possible.  After donating a few billion to
various charities to get on the authorities' good side, they
began to construct the new headquarters.  Team Rocket47 had been
destroyed twice now, and none of them intended on letting is be
destroyed a third time.  It would take them a while to build the
new headquarters from scratch.

Back at the laboratory of Team Rocket, Giovanni was busily
yelling at Tac.  He was enraged that Tac had let them escape.
Tac swore that it wasn't his fault, so Giovanni allowed Tac to
stay a member of Team Rocket.  He warned Tac that if there was
one more slipup, he would be out for good, no matter what.

Tac knew that Team Rocket47 would rise again, and he would find
out where.  He powers only allowed him to see so far into the
future, so he didn't know what would happen.  Also, his powers
limited him to only visions of Pok?mon Island.  Since Team
Rocket47 wasn't even on the Island, Tac would have quite a bit of
trouble ever finding them again.

Somehow, he would do it, and this time there would be no mercy
for the members.  He would kill them all, no questions asked.
They had escaped him for the last time.  That day Tac vowed to
dedicate the rest of his life to finding the new Team Rocket47
Headquarters, and wiping out the members in it once and for all,
no matter what the cost was.  Even if it meant he would have to
die with them.

Okay, so that's the end of Chapter IX.  Pretty cool, huh?  I'm
surprised that I finished this chapter so quickly, but I guess I
can really spit them out when I get my brain in the story writing
mode.  Anyway, I'm not sure about what I'll do in Chapter X, so
it may be a while longer for me to finish.  I'm almost to my
goal, because if you remember I set a goal to reach 10 Chapters
in my fanfic in one of the earlier chapters.  I probably won't
get it finished before I leave to California, so just be patient
if I don't.  I'll only be gone four days.  So, happy reading
until I finish the next Chapter!  And thanks to all the people
and/or organizations that I got ideas from; especially George
Lucas and the London Symphony Orchestra for the kickass title.
