| I stood at the base of the podium and looked up at the man standing there. He looked down at me, smiling, then opened the book. Luke Judd, your life has ended and the day of judgement has come. He then turned to the first page of the book and began to scan through the pages. Hmm. Very interesting, he said as he read. I started to get nervous, because I didnt know what he was reading about. He couldve been reading anything. After what seemed like an eternity . . . No, eternity is what hell be spending here, the person said, looking up from the book. Uh, after what seemed like years, the person finally closed the book. Well, it seems youve led a fairly decent life. I let out a sigh of relief. However, that got my attention again, you havent done enough good things to enter the gate. So, what can I do? Well, the man started, You can either spend eternity in Hell, or you can GET YOUR ASS MOVING AND STRAIGHTEN UP YOUR LIFE!!! I jumped back in shock. I didnt expect an angel dude to swear like that. Suddenly a voice came from all around us. I TOLD YOU TO CLEAN UP YOUR MOUTH!!! Sorry, the person said quietly. I get the point, I said. I either go back down and get a second chance, or spend forever in Hell. Correct, but Im seriously debating whether or not I should even let you go back down. You really did a hell of a thing . . . Suddenly the man disappeared in a puff of smoke. I looked around in surprise. Now what was I supposed to do? Suddenly the clouds opened up above me and a big glowing head appeared, just like God on Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Who are you? I asked him. Who do you think I am?! Who else would waste their time to come and talk to someone like you? Er, sorry, I replied. The reason youre here and not on the other side of those gates is because you havent done enough good in your life to go through. Yes, the other dude explained that already. Well, you must first prove yourself before you can be allowed to return. How am I supposed to do that? I asked in amusement. You must find the Holy Grail. THE WHAT??? The Holy Grail. <Uh, wrong storyline.> Oh, sorry. You must deliver this message to Bill Clinton. His time is almost up, and if he doesnt straighten up soon he wont even appear where youre standing right now. Do I get anything special for this task? No. You must appear at his bedside before 10:00 P.M. Why? Whats at 10:00? I asked in interest. Id rather not talk about it. Oh, I get it, I replied. Good, then think no more of it before I change my mind about you. I immediately was given the message. After receiving, the clouds closed up just like in the movie, then I looked around. I wasnt sure exactly where I was supposed to go now. <If you dont get that message delivered, I know where he will tell you to go.> I got the point immediately. I looked around, then started to wander around. I found a hole in the clouds and could see the Earth below. I shrugged my shoulders, and jumped. Instantly I found myself at Bill Clintons bedside. He jumped up in alarm and looked at me. Who the hell are you? he asked me. Im a messenger from heaven. Im here to tell you that if you dont straighten your life up now youre going straight down. Aw, I aint got nothing to worry about. The doctor even told me that Ive got quite a few good years in me. More like a few seconds if you dont cut that out right this instant. Aw, get out of my house, Ive got an appointment in an hour. Fine then, I replied. I snapped my fingers, and instantly a large meteor crashed through the roof and landed on him. I never liked that guy anyway. The spirit of Bill Clinton climbed out from underneath the meteor and looked at it, then at me. You werent kidding, were you? Nope, I replied. I snapped my fingers again, and he was sucked into the ground as if it had opened beneath him. Moments later I reappeared in heaven, standing at the same podium. I was informed that I had carried out my task perfectly, so I was allowed to return. I took an oath that I would change, then instantly I found myself flying down toward the Earth again. The sequence of events after I had been shot flew by as if they were being fast forwarded, then seconds later I appeared in the room where my body was. Everybody was gathered in the room crying miserably, because I was dead. It wouldnt be that way for long. Time went backwards a few days, and I saw myself lying in the hospital bed in the emergency room. What happened next I cant explain. I was looking at my body, then suddenly I was sucked into my body and everything went black. I could faintly hear voices all around me, but couldnt make out what they were saying. Slowly the sounds became clearer and I could almost tell who was talking. It wasnt anybody I knew, however. It was probably a doctor. I opened my eyes a bit and had to squint because of the lights. I heard a doctor say something and then the lights dimmed. He walked up to me and stood next to the bed. How are you feeling? he asked me. I feel like I was hit by a tank, I replied weakly. The doctor chuckled to himself, then looked over at the monitors. He took a few notes on his pad, then turned back to me. You take it easy. Youve had a busy month. I then gave him a confused look, but he left before I could say anything. I looked around at what was in the room. There was quite a bit of presents and stuff. Mostly balloons, flowers, and get-well cards. There was one card that I noticed that caught my attention rather quickly. I picked up the card and it was different from all the others. Rather than having Get Well Soon on it like the others, it had Die a painful death written on the front. I didnt even have to think to know who had sent the card. It was from Tac, and he knew I was alive still. I threw the card in the trash, then looked up as the door to the room opened. The whole gang was there. <For those of you who dont know, The Whole Gang refers to Michelle, Joey, Magick, Jads, Ira, Dreana, and Kat.> They all gathered around the bed after closing the door. Michelle was the first to say anything. How are you feeling? she asked. How do I look? I replied. The others looked at one another when I said that. That bad, huh? Not as bad as you looked when you came in here, Magick said. By the way, what was the doctor referring to when he said, youve had a busy month? Dont you know yet? Jads asked. I shook my head. Youve been in a coma for over a month. The doctors werent sure if youd make it or not. I smiled, but only mentally. I kept a serious look on my face so the others didnt think Id flipped out or something. <Too late for that one, Luke.> Hey, Tacs the one you should be bashing! I said. <Yeah, but he disappeared again.> I then sat back down in the bed, because my wounds were still killing me. Thats exactly what Tac wanted, but the wounds were healing fine. They werent completely healed over yet, but they were getting there. My wounds were actually healing much faster than normal due to that fact that I was a Psychic <psycho> Anthro Raichu. I would still have to spend another two weeks in the hospital before I could go home. <As if the stories arent long enough already, so Ill just pass the entire two weeks.> I was finally released from the hospital. Magick helped me out to the car, which turned out to be mine. Joey, why are you driving my Mustang? I asked. Well, youre the only one that ever drives it, so I decided to drive it a bit while you were away. I looked at Joey, and she blushed and climbed into the car. I climbed in the back seat, and Magick hopped in next to me. Michelle cleared her throat, so Magick scooted over and Michelle sat next to me. Joey climbed into the front seat and started up the car as Magick hopped in next to her. She shifted the car into gear, then drove to the cabin. The others followed behind us in Joeys motorcycle, which she had quickly given up to them to drive my Mustang. Joey usually didnt give up her motorcycle lie that, but she made exceptions in a case like that. At that point I was seriously considering getting an I-Lock for the car. Basically, an I-Lock is a device where you have to have a special electronic tag on your keychain, and when you put it next to a sensor, the starter will activate. After that you put the key in and start the car like normal. Without the device, you put the key in the ignition and turn it, but nothing will happen. With an I-Lock, a vehicle is completely hot-wire proof. We got to the cabin a few minutes later and parked the car and Joeys motorcycle. I was helped out by Michelle, then walked to the door on my crutches. We all went inside, then I sat down slowly on the couch. My leg would take a while to heal completely, and Id have to go to the doctor every few days to get it checked on. It had only been a few hours after we got back when there was a knock on the door. Magick was the first person there. She opened the door, but there wasnt anybody there. She glanced down, and a small package was sitting on the doorstep. She bent down and picked up the package, then carried it inside. Hey Luke, theres something here for you, she said. There is? I replied. What is it? Im not sure, but its kinda heavy. Well, bring it here. Magick walked over to me then handed me the package, and she was right. It was a bit heavy. It was small, so that meant there must be quite a bit of stuff in it. I pulled off the packaging tape, then pulled the flaps back. There were packing bubbles, which amused me. I pulled out the packing bubbles, as well as everything that was inside. I unwrapped the layer of packing bubbles, and to my surprise there were two ZIP Disks, a thick sketch pad, and four photo envelopes. I wasnt sure who had sent me the stuff, but there was also a card with everything. I opened the card and scanned over it. At the end it was signed Mjken. I was a bit confused at first, but then I remembered a friend from a few years back. Quite a few years, in fact. Id met her online, like all my other friends in TR47, when I was 17. Everyone knew her as Rydia. There werent actual photos in the envelopes. They were computer graphics that she had made. At least, they were ones she had printed off. All of the ones she had ever done were on the two ZIP Disks. I pulled out my laptop, the turned it on and popped in the disk. I was surprised when I looked at what was on the disk. There were hundreds of files, and they were all images. I opened one folder labeled TR47 and looked at the files there. Each file had a different name. There were graphics of Me, Michelle, Joey, Jads, Magick, Dreana, Kat, Mewtwo, Giovanni, and Tac in a folder labeled members, and then there was another labeled Illustrations. I smiled. I had asked her at one time if shed make up some illustrations for one of my stories and she agreed. The pictures were all there. They all depicted various scenes from parts in the story. I ejected the disk and shut off my computer, then put the things back in the box they had arrived in. I gave the box to Magick, then she put it in my room along with my laptop. Due to the condition of my leg, I wouldnt be going anywhere very often. Id have to move around as little as possible, and also sleep there. A few times I was bored and didnt feel like doing anything, but now that I wasnt able to do those things, I felt confined, as if my rights had been taken away. Fortunately for me, we had a TV that worked just fine. It had cable, thanks to Joeys makeshift satellite dish, but thats not what I was after. After a recent return home, I had brought back the Nintendo 64 along with dozens of games. I knew most of the games by heart, but they kept me entertained so that I wouldnt be bored out of my mind. After a few days I went to my doctor for a checkup, then stayed at the cabin some more. After a few weeks, my leg was mostly healed. It still had to be bandaged, but I didnt need the crutches anymore. Everything seemed to be going just fine. So well, in fact, that we all completely forgot about Tac. That proved to be a mistake. After a few more weeks my bandages came off. The doctor commented on how fast the wounds had healed, then he told me that it was my last visit. I didnt need to do to the doctor any more for checkups. There were scars left where the gunshot wounds had been, and they would be permanent. Good thing there was fur in those places to cover them up. There were bald spots where the wounds were, but the fur was growing back finally. If I ever met Tac again, I was going to kill him. I didnt realize just how soon I would get the chance. We were all playing Go Fish as usual, and a storm came over. It wasnt very strong though. It was only a mild thunderstorm. While we were playing, there was a pound at the door. Actually, something Pounded the door. The door came flying off its hinges and slammed into the wall across from it. But the destruction didnt stop there. Moments after the door broke, something came flying through the wall, leaving a large hole in it, then flew right through the middle of the room. The thing went right through the table, breaking it into numerous pieces, then exited through the wall on the other side of the room, leaving yet another hole. The thing had been flying too fast for any of us to get a good look at it. Moments later the thing appeared in the newly made hole in the wall and stopped. It was Tac. We all jumped up at the same time and faced him. He wasnt carrying any weapons this time. I could tell that he was going to battle it out. The battles went exactly the same as last time. Somehow Tac had managed to build a new stadium for himself. Eventually I was the only one left again, and I was feeling the same way as I had before. I tried to block Tacs teleport like I had before, but he was much too powerful now. I tried to fight it as hard as I could, but suddenly a flash of pain shot through me and I found myself in the battle arena. I faced Tac and our eyes locked. We prepared to fight the greatest Pokmon battle ever. The outcome of the battle would determine the fate of Team Rocket47. Would there be celebrating, or would there be destruction? Bwahahahaha! I have created the ultimate cliffhanger! Youll all have to wait until Chapter IX to see what happens in the story. Im not sure how long that will be, but theres nothing you can do about it! Anyways, blah blah blah, thanks people who give me ideas for these things. Goodbye and SHUT UP!!! February 19, 2001 |
