FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS 27th August 2002- MORE TOUR DATES FOR OCTOBER/NOVEMBER! So far there are three more dates added for after the Barrowlands competition gig. They are: Glasgow Barrowlands (26th Oct), Birmingham Academy (31st Oct) and Manchester uni (1st Nov)! You can buy tickets at wayahead.com! More when I hear it! 9th August 2002- Got some more news about the Coca-Cola FLC promotion. The FLC logo and promotional information about a gig at Glasgow Barrowlands on 25th October will be appearing on special 500ml bottles of Coca-Cola. The gig was arranged a while back and is the culmination of the 1st August 2002- Last weekend FLC played the Smithwicks Source festival in Ireland and spent some time in Dublin (apparently doing a tour of the lap dancing clubs - oh dear - doesn't sound like Huey injured anyone this time though, so I guess that's a good thing!). There's a little more detail and an exclusive picture of Huey on stage at Showbiz Ireland.

, helping to bring schools in Scotland "closer to music". Tickets for the gig will only be available to competition winners, and it doesn't appear that the official competition is open yet, but, if you go to the beat106 website, they are holding their own competition to give away 30 pairs of tickets and an opportunity to meet the band.
There was an interview with Huey on Channel 4's RI:SE this morning which finished just as I turned the TV on! From what they were saying afterwards he seemed to go down pretty well, but I can't say any more than that! If you saw it, let me know!
27th July 2002- I've written a review of the gig in Bradford on thursday night, which was fantastic. Check it out here. They played another new song - Party dress, but it's still unclear about which record company they will be releasing the new album with.
Other news - watch out for the FLC logo on thousands of special edition coca cola cans and bottles. Not exactly sure when this is happening, so keep an eye out, and let me know if you get one!
22nd July 2002- Right, lots of news today!
Firstly, thanks to Steve, it looks like support for the current FLC tour is being provided by Baby Genius. FLC helped to produce their second album and there are a couple of FLC pics involving afros etc on their official site. There is also going to be a TV show about the making of the Baby Genius album, and how the music scene in New York has changed since September 11th, which may include some FLC to be shown on Channel 4 later in the year.
Apparently a couple of nights ago Huey broke a man's nose in a strip club in London! It's unknown who the man is, but it appears that Huey head-butted him. There are more details here.
Finally for the moment, I was randomly searching on the internet and I found something quite interesting... Coney Island High. If you follow this link it takes you to the Coney Island High site, if you then scroll down to the "Car wash" section, it says they have appearances by none other than Super bad Brad and one DJ Morgan! Surely it has to be Huey. Not sure if it's a regular thing, but he's obviously been DJing in public!
There seems to be lots going on at the moment, so more updates very soon!
Second update today!
Forgot to mention earlier, "Bag of Hits" really is out today! Yes really! Went down to Woolies and made sure it was actually there, but it's only 8.99 if you buy it at cd-wow.com
Also, there's a short review of the FLC appearance at Guilfest on Saturday night here.
3rd July 2002- OK, exams are over, so I've got the whole summer to try to get the site up to scratch again!
There have been some more tour dates arranged for the summer in the UK. FLC were supposed to be supporting Jamiroquai at Rock City in Nottingham on 21st July, but Jamiroquai pulled out due to "unforeseen technical problems", this means that FLC will now be playing the headline show, there are details at NME.com! Check the tour page for more details of tour dates and buying tickets.
The "Bag of Hits" album is due out this summer, current suggested release dates include 22nd July and 5th August, but no one actually knows for sure! I'll update the albums page with details of the album, but sadly it doesn't look like it's going to include any new songs!
The band had to cancel a gig in Cambridge at a graduation ball (that no one seemed to know about until afterwards anyway!) last month because Huey got sick and couldn't speak. With all the offers to hug him better, I'm sure he's made a full recovery!
It seems the band are spending some time in New Zealand at the moment, no idea if they're there for business or pleasure reasons!
13th June 2002- Well well well! OK, here as I kind of promised is a review of last night's Norwich gig! OK, Huey is bald again, but don't whatever you do let that put you off seeing them! They're back, better than ever, with a new song "Running For Cover", taken from "Bag of Hits".
Huey was on v graham norton on monday night, but the interview was only short, before graham managed to steer the attention back to himself! More news when I hear it, if I have time!
23rd May 2002- Sorry about the lack of updates even though there has been news, but I'm going to be giving the site up for a bit to concentrate on my exams! I may manage to get a review and exclusives on the Norwich gig, and as it's the first gig on the tour there should be some interesting news!
Before I leave this for a few weeks, a couple more dates have been announced for the summer including a festival type thing in Bath on June 15th and supporting Jamiroqui in Nottingham. There's a lot of the most up-to-date news posted on the PFLC message board. The "Best of" album to be released this summer will be called "Bag of Hits", and will be the band's last release with EMI because they've decided to look for a worldwide deal which EMI aren't offering. The biography to be released in september now has a front cover which you can see at amazon.co.uk.
Finally, there's a cool new FLC site called The FLC Times, which is based in Dublin and concentrates on FLC in Ireland!
Good luck to anyone who's doing exams at the moment or will be very soon, and don't forget to keep the emails coming in to [email protected] if you have any news, exciting FLC stories, reviews of gigs or just anything funny!
28th April 2002- Thanks to Kelly for this. FLC have been confirmed to play at the Smithwicks Source Festival at Nowlan Park in Kilkenny, Ireland on 27th July.
26th April 2002 -Exclusive - FLC have confirmed another UK date in June! They will be playing at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon on June 14th. (Another fairly random venue!) There's still hope of more dates being announced! The BBC are holding a competition to give away 3 pairs of tickets for the gig, click here for more details on winning/buying tickets!
25th April 2002- I think I'm the first with this, (and I'm sorry), but it's looking like there isn't going to be a full tour in June. I got a leaflet about forthcoming gigs in Norwich a few days ago, and it says "Fun Lovin' Criminals - in the UK for a few dates only". I don't know if there are more dates still to be announced, but if you just HAVE to see them, it's looking like you may have to travel a long way! If you have any more information on new tour dates, please mail me!
Here's some slightly better news! Thanks to Kelly on the PFLC messageboard, set your videos for ITV1 at 1:55am on Thursday 2nd May (beware of regional variations!) The programme is called "In Profile - Fun Lovin' Criminals", but it's unclear if this is the same as "Planet Rock Profiles", so best set the video incase it's something new!
19th April 2002- More gigs have been announced! Firstly, FLC will be playing in Norwich!! Yes, Norwich!! (Just down the road from me... Result!) at the UEA on 12th June.
Also, thanks to Dave and Kat. FLC will be playing at the Guilfest in Guildford on Saturday 20th July. This is a festival that has Rolf Harris on the line-up! For more details on tickets etc, go to the tour page.
15th April 2002- More news!! Thanks to Kat and Herb. It looks like FLC will be releasing a "Best of" album in June to go with the possible tour! You can pre-order it at hmv.co.uk for 16.99, but from past experience it may be worth waiting until nearer the time, when it'll be cheaper somewhere else and the release date will have been put back! Sorry, but it is true!!
13th April 2002- Thanks to Steve for this! FLC will be playing a gig at the London Astoria on Thursday 13th of June, it's not yet known if this is a one off, or if a whole tour is going to be announced! But it seems likely that there'll be a tour! Yaaaaaaay!
29th March 2002- HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAST! Is he 30 this year? Lord knows, but doesn't time fly?!
Thanks to Kelly, it appears that there is going to be a book called "Fun Lovin' Criminals" which is going to be a biography released in September. You can pre-order it at Amazon.co.uk.
I had to get a new guestbook cos the old one stopped working, so if you could take the time to sign it it would be much appreciated cos it's looking a bit empty!
Lastly, but by no means least. I've worked out how to put up audio files onto the site for y'all to download! Go to the Audio/Video page to hear Swashbucklin' in Brooklyn live from Germany last year! There are more exclusive tracks to come, so watch this space!
21st March 2002- Wow, isn't FLC news a bit like buses!?! The good thing is, there's lots of news at the moment and it's all good!! The panic is over, sorry for the false alarm, Huey does still have hair! Phew! The footage used on the Booze programme was pretty old, so that's good!
Huey opened DiFontaine's pizza restaurant in Dublin on St Patrick's Day. There's a report and pictures at showbizireland they are well worth checking out if you haven't seen them already. The pizza looks fantastic and the article also says that Huey is now properly detatched from Belisa after 12 years on and off due to children matters and hectic schedules, and he's gonna be in a film as a drug dealer (again), filming supposedly starts in June!! Let's hope this actually happens!
More News! Thanks to the guys on Planet FLC's messageboard, it looks like Huey has been very busy. This article is from bbc.co.uk Huey Morgan, frontman of New York band the Fun Lovin' Criminals, has dropped in on a school in Scotland to meet young people helping to set up one of the group's autumn gigs. Students at Govan High School, in Glasgow, are involved in putting on a concert for teenagers at the city's Barrowlands venue in October. Huey arrived in his Cadillac and spent 45-minutes signing autographs and talking to pupils, including members of the school band. He also handed out packs for the Coca Cola Sound Project, which gives young people the chance to win work placements in the music industry.
Wow, that's the most news there's been all year and all in one update, let's just hope there's more cool stuff to come!! Like a tour. hint hint.
14th March 2002- Sorry again for another time of sparse updates, but really honestly there hasn't been any news to update you with! There was the Winterjam thing which turned out to not feature Huey anyway, and I totally forgot about this but there was a programme that featured Huey for about 2 minutes the other night on BBC1 called Booze, where he talked about cocktails. I didn't actually see it though so I can't fill you in on that one in too much detail!
ANYWAY! On to more important matters. We are mourning a terrible loss. I'm not sure how to break it to those of you who don't already know, but we have to say goodbye to something very special and much loved...

... yes, Huey's gone bald again!!! booooo hooooo sob sob! There's nothing more I can say except that I'm going off to cry and try to come to terms with this devastating blow.
26th January 2002- Sorry for the recent lack of updates, but there hasn't really been a lot of news! Just don't forget to watch FLC's Brixton gig from before Christmas on mtv on monday (28th) at 11pm. If you have any news, let me know!
3rd January 2002- Happy New Year to everyone! I hope Christmas and the New Year were good, and that 2002 will be happy and exciting!
I've updated the pictures page, and it is definitely worth checking out! LOL!
Huey was on Jools Holland's Hootenanny and he looked..... well lovely and for someone who has openly admitted that he can't sing carried off a version of Frank Sinatra's "Fly me to the Moon" accompanied by Jools' Rhythm and Blues Orchestra incredibly well!
That's all for now, the holidays are all over, time to get back to working. Bugger.
24th December 2001- I've put my pictures into the Manchester review. The quality of the photos varies, but some of them are pretty cool, and exclusive to here!
Also, don't forget to watch Huey on Daily Edition on MTV tomorrow morning at 7 or 11:30, no idea what he's doing, but he'll be on there!
Also, highlights from Glastonbary 99 are going to be on BBC Choice at some point tomorrow, so FLC may make it onto the programme!
Finally (thanks to Viki) Huey's going to be on Jools Holland's Hootenanny BBC2, I think at 11:55pm, but it's probably best to check, I don't want to be responsible for you missing it!
22nd December 2001- Have written a review of the Manchester gig and put it up here for you to check out, I'll be picking up the pictures on Christmas eve, so with any luck I'll get them up before Christmas, or otherwise, by the New Year. If you've been to any of the gigs and have a review, it would be grand if you'd mail it to me, so I can post it on the site! Thanks.
21st December 2001- Well Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat, but quite frankly who cares about the goddamn goose when FLC are touring the UK?! Saw the band last night in Manchester, and they were good. No, more than good. There's a full review of the show and hopefully some cool pictures (if the camera worked OK) coming soon, so watch this space. Reports from the other shows sound as if they were just as good, and mtv.co.uk have a kinda review, pictures, live clips and an interview from the Brixton show which they recorded on Saturday.
There's been reports that FLC have written 9 songs for a new album which they intend to record in the spring and release late spring along with a tour, and also in time for the summer festivals 2002! Well I do stress that they INTEND to do this. Time will tell!
11th December 2001- Sorry for recent lack of updates, several reasons: partly I haven't had much time, and also, there hasn't really been much news! I got some for you now though!
Firstly, Huey is to open a pizza restaurant in Dublin! Before you say "yeah right, just like the one in London!" apparently it's actually true. At the moment they're sorting about ovens and i think someone said Huey had stuck his finger in another pie! Check NME.com for more details.
Also, FLC have added another London date to the tour, check the tour page for more details, at the moment I think only one of the shows has actually sold out. hmmmmm.
AND, am a little late on this but thanks once again to Kat, Cooley High will be supporting FLC on the tour, but only on the London, Glasgow and Dublin dates. For the rest of the tour they will be supported by Courtney Pine.
Finally, again a little slow on this. Thanks to my brother and to Kat, MTV Live will be recording FLC's shows at Brixton which they'll be showing some time in January!
20th October 2001- Thanks to Kat for this. FLC will be appearing on MTV's FANatic tomorrow (sunday) lunchtime kinda time! It's still unknown who the guy is who actually won, but it's guaranteed it'll make you cringe!
Still not sure who's going to support FLC in December, but am hoping that maybe Brad will return!
Also, this isn't news, but remember to check out the Just for fun section for a bit of a laugh, and don't forget to vote!
8th October 2001- Not really any news today, but am slowly making the site bigger and better. Have put up an interview which is quite old, but I'd not seen before in the interviews section!
6th October 2001 - FLC have announced a mini UK tour in December! Check out the dates in Glasgow, London, Doncaster, Wolverhampton, Manchester and Dublin on the tour page! Tickets are available from NME.COM, but are very expensive once you've paid all their extras so it's probably best to buy direct from the venue! It's not yet known who will be supporting FLC on this tour, but rumours are circulating that Cooley High may make an appearance!
Unfortunately FLC have postponed their Australian tour date. I don't know when and if they will be re-scheduled for, but I'll let you know as soon as I do!
29th September 2001 - Hello strangers! I'm very sorry there haven't been any updates recently, but unsurprisingly there hasn't been a lot of FLC news in the past couple of weeks. I just found out a new tour date in Australia on 8th October, so if you're down under check out the tour page! Any news you hear about let me know! Your help and feedback are always appreciated!
9th September 2001 - SITE LAUNCH! Welcome to my new, and way improved FLC site! It's taken a lot of time off and on, and most things are new/different to the old site!
Anyway! FLC news. Well, recently I'm not sure there's been a lot of news to talk about! I'm not going to waffle on about all of what's happened since I started the site, because that would just take too long, and is probably stuff you've already heard! But I am going to try to update the site from now on with any news as soon as I hear it!
8th July 2001 - FLC have continued to add new tour dates for venues around Europe this summer, including shows in Belgium, and a series of shows in Scotland in August. Check the tour page for more details.
MTV are now showing the video for "Bump", which should be released on the 6th August. I've only seen it once, but it is very cool. Also, on the theme of MTV, on The Daily Edition on Friday, there was a short section behind the scenes of the new FLC vid. I can't record MTV, but it was very memorable! Fast was dressed up in a wig in the style of Paul Whitehouse as Nicey on "Smashy and Nicey", with a matching moustache (which mysteriously changed colour half way through), and he was called Wayne Lazar. He proceeded to carry out interviews with the band (including himself), and Jodie Kidd who stars in the video. Very funny!
