Mt. Vernon :

-Three residential academic programs based at MVC:

-All Students accepted into the BA/JD program reside at MVC

-During the Spring 2005 semester, more that 2,300 GW students were enrolled in over 230 different sections at MVC.

-Eleanor Roosevelt Papers Project based on MVC

-The room capacities at MVC are usually no larger than 25.

 

International Services Office:

-GW is composed of students, faculty, researchers, and staff from every US state and almost 120 countries.

 

Six-Year BA/JD Program:

-90 credits within CCAS including all GCRs/major requirements.

-Admission to law school is guaranteed as long as student attains a cum GPA of 3.7 or higher at GW

-No LSAT required

-Admissions:

*top 5% of class

*SAT's in top 95 th percentile

*2 SAT IIs in top 95 th percentile

*10 to 15 students accepted per year—no transfers

 

GWORLD Card:

-Basic freshman plan is $3000 per year

-District Market has kosher section

-J Street Changes:

*The “Hot and Not” is a buffet style location featuring hot breakfast, grab and go meals, and lunch and dinner entrees.

* “ Salad Garden ” offers at least 14 specialty salads, a variety of hot grilled sandwiches and wraps, and a create your own salad option.

*Boston Market home meals can now be purchased at District Market.

University Writing Program:

-First-Year Writing Program (UW20)

*4 credit freshman writing seminar

-Writing in the Discipline (WID) Program

*Two sophomore/junior-level writing intensive course

-Faculty is handpicked by the administration

 

GW School of Business (GWSB):

-Top 20 US New and World Report in International Business

-Duques Hall has seven tired classrooms, three computer equipped classrooms, and five standard classrooms.

-Open computer lab with 48 stations and a Financial Markets Room

 

University Police Department (UPD):

-GW opened a new MPD Community Policing Center on GW's campus where MPD officer conduct business and create a partnership between MPD, GW, and Foggy Bottom.

-UPD officer patrol on bike, foot, and car.

-Programs and service include a lost and found, adopt an officer, self-defense program, TIPs line, and campus watch initiative.

-Approximately 30 emergency blue lights on Foggy Bottom campus

-4 Ride and Colonial Express shuttle
