Pengerang Dirtbiking

November 22, 2010. This is one of the most extreme activity ever! A group of 6 guys and 6 girls decided to
play dirt off-road on scramblers! This event was organized by Farhan and Zulaikha. The place of event is
called Tristan Park, in a place in Johor called Pengerang. A 45 minutes boat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal took us to Tanjung Pengelih Jetty, Pengerang and another 5 minutes drive from the Tanjung Pengelih Jettytook us to Tristan Park.

There are 2 categories to this dirtbiking event. Cat A is for experienced riders while Cat B is for learner riders. The five riders in Cat A were both the organizers as well as Arman, Asyur and Saiful. The other 7 who formed the Cat B riders were Dewi, Faisal, Juliati, Mariana, Nazurah, Solehah and Zaid. There were 2 sessions to the dirtbiking event. The 1st session was before lunch and after lunch was the 2nd session. All of us were geared up with helmets, elbow and knee guards, bandana and some wore shades. all these gears, except for shades were provided by the park management.The bikes we chose was a KTM250SX, the most powerful bike (Saiful), KTM200 (Arman), Kawasaki KLX200 (Farhan) and Yamaha WR200 (Asyur and Zulaikha).

Cat A riders were taken around the Tristan Park by an instructor. This is when we saw all of us 'experienced' riders fell from grace! However, he instructor was a very, very patient guy! He helped us lifted up the bikes and kickstarted them when the bikes stalled. As for Cat B riders, they were taught how to ride on a pocket bike or an ATV, which are much easier to operate.

After lunch, all of us were gathered and we roamed the whole park as a group! It was awesome! No matter
how many times we fell, the engine stalled, how desperate we were to kickstart the bike again and how
heavy the bikes were to push, they didn't hinder us from continuing the dirtbiking and end the day together!

Four words: Dirtbiking was great fun!

And yes, passport is a must because you are leaving Singapore.

All present and breakfast already had, we waited the boat at the Changi
Ferry Point Terminal. Saiful's got cool goggles here which proved very
useful indeed!

All the girls here smiled except for one. You should know who. :P

for a whole load of fun!

Long and tiring boat ride? Option A: Play card games!

Option B: Sleep.

Option C: Sleep more.

Option D: Sit on a stair, pose and smile for the camera.

Option E: Choose a nice spot to suntan your lower half, listen to mp3, enjoy
the breeze and smile.

Option F: Sit on top of the roof, enjoy the sun and breeze!

Option G: Act cool.

Last option: Hmmmm...

Looking far and wide, Zaid had a vision in his mind. To get drity!

Once we reached Tanjung Pengelih jetty and had our passports cleared, we
headed to Tristan Park on a car ride.

It was just a short ride but Arman already couldn't take it!

Farhan couldn't make the bike move so he just imagined riding on it and
making sounds with his mouth.
