Lucifer Gnosis

An hermetic teleological on-line philosophic dissertation initiating an esoteric network of Truth seekers.

"Did the Master not say, 'The TRUTH shall set you free'?

Have they made a LAW against the TRUTH?"

--Abdul Khan

"What appears to be truth is a worldly distortion of objective truth." --Sanai

"None attains to the Degree of Truth until a thousand honest people have testified that he is a heretic."

An Illuminating paradigm.

Abstract

Given the current state of our time, set, and setting, it seems warrented to liberally make use of material which is available from certain sources. This is a neccesity of convenience in response to the specific questions of individuals whom I have encountered, and the conditions which exist in our time. The intention is to provide a primer of material to give sufficient context to aid in understanding the areas of scholarship and services that provide a greater capacity for harmonizing and balancing differences between people from a variety of social, politcal, economic, religious, and cultural persuasions. As technology advances at an evermore astonishing rate, the relation of "self / other" to the corpus of the "whole" in a network of data access-retrieval and communication tends to neglect a certain aspect of "boundry definition" which has a great psychological import relative to the manner in which one encounters an overwhelming array of material from electronic media. With respect to the preoccupation of "authority" I will regard this body of work as a "process-oriented" approach, and I ask that it should not be perceived in a way other than to facilitate what has already be so eloquently stated by others as: "assisting the continuing development of humanity," or "the perennial philosophy." Please forgive me in advance...mash'allah.

The excerpt represents the core issue or deciding factor on which you must meditate, and is drawn from The Complete Poems of Longfellow by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:

MESSER CLAUDIO. Undoubtedly.

VITTORlA. But that Is not what occupies my thoughts at present, Nor why I sent for you, Messer Michele. It was to counsel me. His Holiness Has granted me permission, long desired, To build a convent in this neighborhood, Where the old tower is standing, from whose top Nero looked down upon the burning city.

DUST BREEDING ON THE GREAT GLASS

"Fool!"
said the wife; "that isn't your pigeon, it's the morning sun glittering on the chimney." But Hansel gradually threw all his crumbs on the path. The woman led the children still deeper into the forest farther than they had ever been in their lives before. Then a big fire was lit again, and the mother said: "Just sit down there, children, and if you're tired you can sleep a bit; we're going into the forest to cut down wood, and in the evening when we're finished we'll come back to fetch you."

The Greatest Gift

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

THANKS ST. MARK!
