| Luciana (the story of a death) Embarking on a new era She's getting away from this tiredness. She finally found a way to be impersonal and now all she wants is to be left alone. She's living inside herself. She can't complain. There were many who tried to love her- none succeeded. And so it goes until she finds she's falling in love with love again. Giving up to her desires She's so inspired lately. It's what she wants But the house is so empty. Slowly, slowly he crawls in next to her. Their detached insanities fall together and hold each other up. By degrees Every day two degrees farther All she has is his. He visits her and they sit across beside along in silence - Then she knows he never leaves her. His face, his name is everwhere. All she has is him. She was never really sure whether she wanted to exist or not. wanted him to exist They reach into one another at all cost and while she was giving him life he drained everthing inside her Exhaustion and renewed spirit seize all and he is a continual whisper on her lips. She offers him all the pleasures of mind, body and soul. He takes away her elegance and eloquence and the elongation of happiness. Delving past it all the horizon looks bleak and meager. Hope and innocence long lost, they can't turn around. She now lacks everything. She's dying for him. 2000 Christa Midcap |
