Esta foi a terceira e �ltima partida amistosa entre as duas sele��es. Nas duas anteriores, o Brasil havia perdido por 3 sets a 1. A Rep�blica Dominicana saiu na frente e abriu 2/0. Mas foi s�. Na passagem de Valeskinha pelo saque, o time brasileiro deslanchou e fez 5/2. Sacando bem, o Brasil anulou as principais jogadas das advers�rias e abriu uma vantagem de cinco pontos - 15/10. O time de Marco Aur�lio manteve o ritmo e fechou o set em 25/21, no ataque desperdi�ado pelas dominicanas. No segundo set, o time brasileiro vencia por 7/6, quando, no ataque, K�tia torceu o joelho esquerdo e deixou a quadra. Sass� entrou em seu lugar. Preocupadas, as brasileiras se desconcentraram, n�o conseguiram virar seus ataques e permitiram a rea��o advers�ria. Com destaque para as atacantes Arias a Cabral, o time dominicano fechou o set em 25/23. O Brasil n�o apresentou um bom volume de jogo no terceiro set, desperdi�ando muitos saques. Enquanto isso, o time dominicano dominou e abriu quatro pontos 21/18. Com um bom trabalho do bloqueio, a Sele��o Brasileira ainda reagiu, empatou e virou o marcador 26/24. Mas alguns erros do ataque brasileiro deram o set � Rep�blica Dominicana (29/27). As brasileiras entraram para o quarto set, com muita determina��o. Melhor no saque e no passe, o Brasil abriu grande vantagem no placar: 13/7. Bem nos ataques pelo meio-de-rede com Marina e Karin, as brasileiras dominaram o placar e fecharam o set em 25/18. No tie-break, o saque e a defesa brasileira fizeram a diferen�a. O placar ficou equilibrado at� o 10 ponto, quando a atacante Jaqueline fez um ace, marcando 12/10. Em mais um ace, s� que desta vez de Karin, o time chegou ao match point e, no contra-ataque de Jaqueline, selou a vit�ria em 15/11. Ap�s a partida, o t�cnico brasileiro Marco Aur�lio Motta disse que a equipe est� crescendo a cada jogo. "Come�amos a partida muito bem. O time estava com o jogo sob controle, mas sentiu a les�o da K�tia e se abateu em quadra no segundo e no terceiro set, cometendo v�rios erros. No quarto set, voltamos para a partida. Fizemos um bom trabalho de saque e bloqueio e foi isso que ajudou a decidir a partida a nosso favor. Evolu�mos muito. A cada partida estamos crescendo", observou Marco.
