In the first two sets of this Pool D clash in Leipzig, Brazil had problems to dominate the match. Poland fought back bravely in the third one, but did not succeed to win a set. In front of 1,300 spectators, Brazil claimed the 3-0 victory. In the first set, Brazil took the lead caused by many individual mistakes of the Polish players. Brazil didn't give the lead away and thanks to powerful attacks the Brazilian team won the set, although the Brazilians temporarily had problems blocking the Polish attackers. But it was not enough to win a set. Brazilian Paula Pequeno was the best scorer of the match with 16 points, while Aleksandra Przybysz and Joanna Staniucha were both the main scorers in the Polish team with 11 points each.
