The Story | He is a very enthusiastic 50cc driver, not only in the past but even to day in many classic evenst. He is married to Ria who comes from Holland (Eindhoven). He wrote: "I started road racing on a 50cc Itom in 1961 in Club & National meetings all over England. I remember they were great days, I wish sometines I could turn the clock to those times, no worry or stress in those times". At the age of 18 in the Isle of Man TT race By the beginning of 1963 I had managed to get my International licence which allowed me to enter the 50cc Ilse of Man TT race that year at the age of 18 years. I managed 6th place on a brand new Honda CR110 production racer and the following year 10th place also on the CR110 His proudest moment in racing In 1965 I rode Frank-Sheene's 50cc Derbi into 5th place of the Isle of Man TT. I rode in many races on the English mainland, with some good results and also the Finnish GP at Imatra in 1963 (7th). Honda CR115 Replica under construction I have been riding in many 'demo' races and Parades the last few years, and have had the Honour of riding Mr- Naitos CR110 at the Time-Tunnel festival at Tusukaba nr to Tokyo the last two years. I hope to be invited back again this year, also I am intending to ride some events in Holland and if Hans van Kleef holds his annual get together from the Lexmond Museum and maybe in Belgium and East-Germany aswell. I am buiding a Honda RC115 replica which I hope to have finished to use this season, The engine is fitted with all the HRC-parts and makes a wonderful music. He ends with the words to meet me sometime and I argree ofcourse in that wish.
|  This is me on my Honda CR110 at the bottom of Bray-Hill, which is just after the start of the Ilse of Man TT course in 1963, at the speed of about 150 km/h at this point.  On my 1978 Kreidler 'Van-Veen', Ilse of Man TT Lap of honour 1999.  On Mr Naito's special lightweight CR110 at this years 'Time-Tunnel' festival at Tsukuba circuit +/- 80 kms North of Tokyo.  My Honda RC115 replica which is under construction.  Rc115 replica frame finished, but not painted, 3 months part-time work and much help from some clever friends.
