The Most Outstanding Quezonian of North America Award was recently awardd to Jun Enverga , President of LCAO by the Quezon Province Association of Eastern USA in collaboration with other Quezon Provincial Associations in North America. Jun was awarded a Crystal plaque and a certificate and proclamation signed by the governor of the State of New Jersey, Hon. James McGreevey last March 29, 2003.
The award was in recognition of the association's unselfish dedication to helping helping the most vulnerable part of the Philippine Society, the poor and the sick. The award committee recognized the association's past projects mainly the US$500,000.00 MEDICAL MISSION, the distribution of medical equipments and supplies that are still benefitting not only Lucenahins and Quezonians but also the poor and the sick people in Metro Manila,a nd the recent SPIRITUAL MISSION whereby financial support was given towards the building of the San Rafael Church in Lucena City, the hosting of the World youth Day Delegates from the province of Quezon and giving financial assistance tgowards the education of a seminarian in the Philippines..
Jun expressed his appreciation to all the officers and members and supporters of the association , for without them helping people in this magnitude will not be possible.
The association will not stop after this award though, the association will launch the EDUCATIONAL MISSION this year, they will help build schools and provide school supplies to poor and need families in Lucena City and Quezon Province. Congratulations to the association with the slogan "The Mission is the Reason!." |
