Sage![]() What I know: � Latin Name: Salvia officinalis � Forms a dense, neat, 24" high mound. � Doesn't really care about the soil type as long as it drains. � Likes full sun. � My take a beating during the winter, but it'll come back okay. � Grows well from seeds or cuttings (The Herb Bible suggests taking a few cuttings to grow in cold frames over the winter, just in case the parent plant doesn't survive). � An extemely useful plant, (medicinal, cullinary, cosmetic, and household uses).
