Roses
What I know:
� There are many types of Roses and each has specific gifts and difficulties.
� The need to be pruned to allow for free air movement, and to reduce winter-kill.
� They are nutrient pigs and will need a lot of soil ammendments to keep them happy.
� The Hybrid Tea Roses were collected over a couple of years, mostly as gifts for one holiday or another. Their bed has been cleaned up and we hope they will have a fighting chance to show off a little in the future.
� I have a Floribunda which I suspect is in too deep of shade and will have to be moved, eventually.
� The David Austin Rose only blooms once during the year, but even buried in the shade it is performing admirably and a joy to watch in the early summer.
� There are a couple of larger rose bushes (unknown varieties, both in area 2, one of which is pictured above) doing amazingly well. They start blooming early in the summer and repeat a couple times through the season. The second bush is a much lighter pink than the one pictured here.
� Because of the complicated intracacies involved with Roses I would strongly suggest finding very specific materials related to the rose that you have, or contacting one of the many rose growers associations.
