Lemon Balm
What I know:
� Latin name: Melissa officinalis.
� Hardy Perennial.
� Forms 2'-3' high mounds.
� Similar to Mint, but with a distinctively lemon scent.
� I strongly advise trying to constrain the plant to pots or planters, as you would with a mint. It can be invasive.
� Propogate (just try to kill it!) by cuttings, division, seed, transplanting seedlings - I cut entire stems, stick them through a piece of pink, foam insulation and float them on my pond to get the roots started.
� It's a weed and a constant fight to control it, but when you hit a patch with the lawn mower the entire yard fills with the scent of lemons, which I quite enjoy.
