Iris
What I know:
� Irises don't like to be planted too deep (most of mine currently are and will not flower because of it) - when planting, I suggest not covering the rhizome, leave the top of it exposed.
� The Iris pictured above is showing signs of Iris Borer. (Note the brown spots on the leaves) I haven't lifted them to confirm and rectify it yet, but it is certainly on my list of To-do's.
� Different Irises flower at different times of the year, although most of mine are in the spring/early summer. � They can also range in size from a few inches to several feet in height.
� They come in a broad range and mix of colours.
� Irises can spread quickly, forming a dense matte of rhizomes which will need to be thinned on occassion.
