Comfrey![]() ![]() What I know: � Likes to spread, roots can extend 10' from parent plant. � Nearly impossible to kill. � Has large, fuzzy leaves, and tiny flowers. � Number of medicinal uses related to then skin (cuts, bruises, rashes) but should not be taken internally. � A natural compost accelerant, I cut it back and add it to the compost each time I turn the pile. � Grows in clumps, with new plants occassionally popping up some distance away. � Easily divided with a shovel. � Reaches about 3' in height, but wi not be harmed by frequent cutting. � My kids refer to it as the 'band-aid plant'.
