What I know:
� Broadleaf, evergreen plant.
� Grows to roughly 10".
� Leaves are predominately green, but will change to shades of red depending on the quality of the soil (the worse the soil the more red in the leaves), and also a brick red colour in the winter.
� It apparently flowers, but I don't think it's very noticable.
� Likes to be abused, the worse the conditions the better it thrives and the prettier it appears.
� Not invasive, but does spread slowly.
� I often found it suggested as a companion plant for daffodils.
� Some of it's common names are Pig's Ears, or Pig-squeak (apparently, if you rub two leaves together they squeak).
� It easily survives a zone 5 winter, no mean feat for a broadleaf evergreen :-)
