Lubbi Junior was born in Hafnarfj��ur, Iceland on Sunday June 29th, 2003 and was one of four puppies. His mommy's name was Snotra and his daddy's name is S�ld�n, but now I'm his mommy! (Gogga) He is named after his grandpa, his name was also Lubbi and he was my old dog.
He is a pure-bred Golden Retriever. He's not a Nollar dog like you get from The Icelandic Kennel Club. Nollar dogs are more showdogs than hunting dogs and are almost white. But not my Junior! =) He has a wonderful hunting nature, after all, Golden Retrievers are hunting dogs, and is GOLDEN colored.
Because of that, he loves playing fetch. The worst thing is, is that whenever he's done fetching, he won't let go and wants to play tug-of-war! He loves taking walks, in the Hamar which is a small mountain with a small forest on the hillside where he gets to run loose, up in the valley above our hometown, Hverager�i and also just getting to run on the soccer field.
His all-time favorite though, are socks! He loves socks and tries to get his paws on them as often as he can! That's why we sometimes call him Socksnatcher! He eats almost everything, except maybe the same old boring stuff that the stupid humans put in his bowl. (Don't they get that it tastes BAD?) He gobbles up vegetables like crazy (I know, he can be a little wierd sometimes) and ofcourse doggie treats are also very good. His favorites are Snausages and Jerky Treats.
Overall, Lubbi Junior is just absolutely wonderful and amazing and in my mind he will always be the cutest & best dog in the whole wide world! :)
