The very basic layout of this web site was something I scratched down in my notebook during down time at work.

It took me maybe ten minutes to code, though I did experience just a little difficulty with the table at the top. I have always hated tables, because they never quite seem to work for me. I have Macromedia DreamWeaver that I use when I need a table to outline what I'm doing or thinking. In class, I discovered Netscape Composer, which I had never used before. It made aligning my photo and bio information much easier.

After the very simple web site was finished, I started dreaming up what other pages I could make on a personal site. I maintain several other websites, albeit lazily, and at first, I was only going to do the bare minimum on this site, because my 'official' personal site is on another host, and I have barely touched it in the year and a half that I've had the address. I decided to make a new start with this site.

With the graphical help of my boyfriend, Nick (who has taught me countless things about web design, and I've taught him a few things as well, I hope), I set up interest pages for books, music, television, photography, and myself. Over the next few weeks, I added and changed links on the front page, and addedd little things to the interest pages, careful to tailor all the pages to the same basic style - black background, with silver lettering, and, on a cue from Spiderpro, a navigation table on every page.

Most recently, I created a table for my English 328 assignments, and started work on my collaborative web site.
