It all started when Vinnie moved from New Jersey to Florida. He moved to Port Charlotte, a little town about 100 miles South of Tampa. This was the same city and same High School that Chris went to. They became friends during this time and started 'playing' together. Chris moved to Gainesville to go to college and during that time he kept in touch with Vinnie. Vinnie moved off to college in Gainesville the next year. While Chris and Vinnie went to College, they were in bands called Good Grief and Needless Guilt with Shaun. They would go home and they would make demo tapes. Shaun left the band and then they got Chris Campisi, the second bass player. A month or 2 later he was out of the band. Roger started playing bass for them as soon as he left. Soon after that they got Jessica on the Saxophone. In December of `92 Buddy joined the band. That is what people come to know as the "original LTJ" lineup. They played their first show in March of `93. Derron Became a member of the band when Buddy was in Germany and they asked him to learn Buddy's parts, but on the sax instead. It just turns out that he ended up never leaving the band. Jessica liked to have many projects to do. When LTJ became more popular due to their success on the radio, she devoted her life to being in the band. At the same time she didn't like to only have one thing to do. In August of `97 she left the band so that she would be able to concentrate on many things. When she left they got Lars formerly of Skankin' Pickle and now in the 78 RPMs. He temporarily filled in on the Race Around Uranus Tour. He was only a temporary solution. LTJ decided that they would change the sound of the horn section by having 2 trombonist instead of 2 saxophonist. They felt that it would sound better. They pursued a trombonist out to be in the band. They chose Peter (Slapstick). Derron left the band in May of 2000. He wanted to persue other interests. They tried people out to Replace Derron and Pete (J.R.) (Spring Heeled Jack USA) was the one that they chose.
