THE LVOV EXPERIENCE OF THE "PROTECTION of SOUND ENVIRONMENT" WAS USED BY IVANO-FRANKOVSK NAZI BANDERA FOLLOWERS.


The Ivano-Frankovsk TOWN council has accepted the Complex program of protection of the Ukrainian language and business language of the city. The decision inures backdating - since November 1.

The Lvov town and regional Soviets of had taken a decision directed on "protection of the Ukrainian language". The initial plan of the authors of these documents was to forbid public use of Russian (compilation of songs, sale of printed production, dialogue in sphere of services, teaching etc.). However, absolute legal illiteracy of these decisions and the protests of public have compelled zealous Banderas essentially to process the documents. In final edition the interdiction has included "immoral songs". Thus, the "good idea" was lead up to the point of irrationality, for who will undertake to determine the given song is immoral or not. At the same time other rules, as for example the %50 tax on Russian books for the benefit of Ukrainian, has remained in force.

The reaction of Ivano-Frankovsk supporters of the Ukrainian language does not differ by novelty of approach. However, there are also some new "approaches". For example, it is proposed to the department of state registration and development of business to "recommend" to all subjects of enterprise activity to bring to the constituent documents an item of the following contents: "the documentation, advertising, the signboards, official dialogue, musical registration are conducted extremely in the Ukrainian language, except for cases of use of marks for the goods and services, which have got such status according to the current legislation". As confirms experience, the default "recommendations" entails additional efforts, which are not few to the businessmen.
