Oh waitress, there seems to be some food in my slop, or does anyone have a fly swatter?:

It's a pain in the butt, but from now on I will not be able to put my personal logs on the computer. I've upped the encryption algorithm and started putting it only on datacarts as that damned fly Brundle somehow got into one of my logs. I'm really getting to hate that guy and his constant poking at me and my business. Now I need to decide if I need to dispose of him. He seemed to have only gotten a bit of one log with my thoughts about him killing Flair, but I don't know for sure. I would say that he is likely not an agent or he wouldn't have mentioned it to me, unless he plans blackmail. Perhaps I should frag him when I get the chance, just to be on the safe side. I don't think anyone would grieve for the loss, and there is other material in this log that I don't want getting out. Maybe New California will save me the trouble and someone will do away with him on his way back to the ship.

On another note, I'm finding to my shock and worry that I'm beginning to like and feel sorry for Klynxyl. I'm starting to see her a having many of the same experiences as I, of not fitting in and being crapped on by the universe. Even the smallest niceties like pulling out a chair seem to be out of the norm for her, and I'm beginning to think that she is not smart enough to be a double agent for the Kzin, or anyone else for that matter. But she could be a key to getting to her brother and I see him as a real danger to the Federation. I will just need to keep my eyes open and see what there is to see.

Oddly she seems to be upset by S'Varr and to shy away from him. It could be his horrid taste in clothing, but I think it may be more. On another note, I think S'Varr may have disabled the transporter when he came aboard the Freedom. That, K's response to him, R'Merr's feelings toward him, and his desire to talk to me alone make me wonder where he is coming from and what he has in mind. He seems sharper than any of my other furry companions, but who is he and what does he want?

As to New California, I wonder if the real thing is this bad now. Some of the only happy times of my life were while I was there in the Academy. I hate to think that home could be this bad now. Only the fact that the others seem just as upset by what we are seeing gives me comfort. Lee on the other hand seems to maneuver through this place like he has been here before. If so, why hide it from us and change his records? It's not like this place is part of a hostile power?
