Captain's log. Goddess that feels good to say again.

I'm still in shock as I sit looking at what sits here before me. I'd let this dispatch from Starbase 13 sit for the better part of a day while the Starfleet freighter SS Orenmara got underway from what now passes for a space station above New California. I thought perhaps the morons there were sending me another "Sorry, but we can't help you" letter, like I'd received on the Hunter, about my daughter's predicament with that dark hearted scoundrel Lee. But instead the dispatch was from Admiral Ironbottem himself. It contained my reactivation orders, and my additional orders to take command of the USS Freedom! I have a ship again! Goddess bless and keep that man!

I just wonder if the ship is as bad as my dear daughter says.
