| Jeff's creativity is also expressed in other areas besides music. He is remarkably talented as an artist working in a variety of mediums and a woodworker. Jeff describes himself as a "people watcher & lover" and what better place to watch than on the beach. This is probably one of the reasons that Jeff enjoys spending time at the shore with his family, where he describes the emotions as "cleansing & refreshing". Perhaps being born in Elizabeth, NJ he just has the ocean running through his veins. Jeff admits to finding it tough to "get it all done in 24 hours". Being employed as an Operations Supervisor for Quebecor World, helping Doreen run Basket Heaven, being an involved father, playing gigs and finding time to be creative through his art and music, as well as raising 6 pups for The Seeing Eye, leaves precious little time for much more. Jeff seems to get through it all with a sense of humor and drawing on what he describes as tolerance and compassion for others. As for his pet peeve, "not managing market value well" just snaps his sticks. For an explanation, you'll have to ask Jeff. Not surprisingly, Jeff wishes he had more time to spend with his wonderful family and to travel. Jeff's style of drumming is subliminally powerful and outright creative. He mentions Buddy Rich as an early influence and also names Yes, CCR and The Monkeys as inspirations. Tidbit: 1st song to drum to ~ Dizzy (Tommy Roe-1969) Mention that a gig and win a prize! Jeff had the great fortune in 1976 to tour 7 European countries with the US Collegate Wind Ensemble, sponsored by Perdue University. "The most important thing", says Jeff, "is to do what God wants us to do while here on earth". God must want Jeff to make people smile, since he's a natural at it. | Long Time Comin', the band, has been around for almost 8 years and has probably survived as many changes. Musicians and vocalists have come and gone and the style of the music is in a constant state of evolution. One of the earlier versions of L.T.C. was quite a bit more syrupy and sweet ~ definitely nice for listening, but not overly condusive to dancing or singing along. It was time to clean house, toss overboard the excess baggage and move on, unencumbered. Today's L.T.C is the best it has been. We've arrived at a place where egos aren't an issue and conflicts aren't welcome. As musicians, we are fully aware that although individually, we are talented and skilled, it is the fusion of the four of us, that makes L.T.C. work so well. On this page, you can find out a little more about the musicians, as well as their contact information. |
