Sarah Alice Purcell, wife of Henry Yager Taylor, was born September 5, 1856 and died December 4, 1904 in Daviess Co., KY. She was the daughter of Lindsey Pursell b January 13, 1831  d March 29, 1902 Daviess Co., KY and Minora Lashbrook b March 30, 1837  d September 2, 1859 Daviess Co., KY. Lindsey and Minora were married November 27, 1855 Daviess Co., KY.  Minora was the daughter of John Lashbrook and Rebecca Burton. Minora died at age 22 only four years after her marriage. Sarah would be her only child. Lindsey remarried to Isabell Unknown after 1859. Lindsey Pursell was the son of Benjamin Pursell b December 4, 1798 Madison Co., KY  d March 17, 1880 Daviess Co., KY and Eliza Ann King. Benjamin and Eliza were married October 25, 1825 Daviess Co., KY and she was the daughter of Osbourn King and Betsy Unknown.

Child of Lindsey and Minora Pursell: 1. Sarah Purcell b 1856  d 1904 Children of Lindsey Pursell and 2nd wife, Isabel: 1. Ida b abt 1878 2. Robert Lindsey 3. Annie

Lindsey and his second wife, Isabelle are buried in the Adcock-Pursell-Simpson Cemetery on  Jack Hinton Rd. along with his parents, Benjamin and Eliza (King) Pursell. Additionally, two of Lindsey's  sisters and spouses are buried there. These include: America Pursell and husband John Adcock, and Eliza A. Pursell and John W. Simpson.
