Frances Burke Hampton b February 4, 1892 Bowling Green, KY  d February 2, 1976 Boone Co., KY was the wife of Clyde P.  Taylor. After her husband's death in 1937, Frances remained in KY until her children graduated from high school  but then moved to the Washington, D.C. area where she lived most of her adult lfe. She is buried beside her sister Ruth (who never married) in Alexandria, VA.

Frances  was the daughter of John Andrew Hampton b January 10, 1863, TN  d June 3, 1936 Elkton, Todd Co., KY  and Florence Adelaide Ritter b November 11, 1860 KY or Columbia, TN  d November 2, 1943 Todd Co., KY.  John and Florence were married January 29, 1889 Maury Co., TN.  Florence was the daughter of Peter Ritter and Elizabeth Ferguson.

John Andrew Hampton, an engineer for the E&G Railroad,  was the son of   Fred F. Hampton b February 26, 1837 Williamson Co., TN  d December 15, 1908 Maury Co., TN and Mary Wiley.  John Andrew would be the only child from this marriage as Mary died before 1867 and Fred would marry twice more.

Fred Hampton was the son of Andrew S. Hampton b abt 1801  d1849 Williamson Co., TN and his second wife, Mildred Ann Christley b abt 1811 NC  d bef 1879 TN. Andrew and "Milly" were married November 5, 1834 Williamson Co., TN.

Andrew S. Hampton was the son of William Hampton b abt 1763  d abt 1829 Williamson Co., TN and Martha (Patsy) Potts. William and Patsy were married December 13, 1800 Brunswick Co., VA.

William Hampton was the son of Henry Hampton  b abt 1735  d 1794 Brunswick Co., VA and Unknown.
