our Ferguson Family
from VA to Williamson Co., TN
Elizabeth Ferguson, wife of Peter Ritter, was born February 7, 1839 died October 17, 1888. Elizabeth and Peter  were married November 29, 1856 in Maury Co., TN. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Vitteto Ferguson b December 4, 1806  d October 21, 1853 and Rebecca Unknown b October 28, 1806  August 5, 1857.

Thomas was the son of Joel Ferguson b April 5, 1781  d January 30, 1841 and Elizabeth "Betsy" Slone (Sloan?).  Joel was the son of Isaac Ferguson b April 3, 1757  d September 2, 1841 Williamson Co., TN and Nancy Haywood b October 3, 1763  d 1843. Isaac and Nancy were married October 27, 1779 Halifax Co., VA.

Isaac was the son of Nimrod Ferguson b bet 1713-1727  d abt 1804  Halifax Co., VA and Rebecca Hudson. Nimrod was the son of Isaac Ferguson and Elizabeth who first appear in official records April 23, 1733/34 leasing 100 acres in the Parrish of Hamilton, Prince William Co., VA.
