Note: All '96 and up cars are OBDII, all '95 and under cars are OBDI
(except export and some California models)
When Purchasing a used LT1, make sure you know what you are getting. The Camaro's, Firebirds, and Corvette's came with aluminum heads. If you do end up buying an LT1 with cast iron heads, make sure you are getting a 5.7L LT1 and not a L99 4300 4.3L LT1! They are both V8's and look extremely identical. *Check casting #'s
Whethor you use OBDI or OBDII is up to you, I personally like to use the OBDI computers (94-95 years)
