PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE AND EDUCATION

BECOMING CHRIST: The Philosophy of Life and
Education of Lourdes School of Mandaluyong

The Christian way of life is the way of Christ. He is Himself the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:15). He revealed to us the Father, and He taught us by words and by example how to live our earthly lives. He draws us to holiness. He who is Himself "the Divine Teacher and the Model of all perfection" (LG 40). Christ is the Fountain the Source of life. We are not merely to imitate Him, but to live in Him and for Him. BECOMING CHRIST speaks of conformity witht the divine plan "to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth "(Eph. 1:10), under the saving providence of God who cares for all men and the whole of creation with great love.

BECOMING CHRIST is a call to follow the poor and crucified Christ, the ideal of a perfect man, as the center of the whole educational endeavor.

BECOMING CHRIST dictates a philosophy of education which holds that
