25/10/2000 : LSE 5 : 0 Imperial College (BUSA) 2 pm

With our number one seed, Justin Muzinich (goggle boy) faithfully attending his lecture till 3, it was up to the remaining 4 players to kick start the first BUSA match of the year.

The fixture started off with Aidan Mcdonnell and Eng Keong Ong taking centre-stage, playing 3rd and 4th singles respectively. After the first few rallies, both players got warm and took the 1st set in both fixtures comfortably. Before the supporters could arrive in numbers, their IC counterparts both found themselves 2 games down as our players proved too consistent and tough to crack.
No match, as the 3rd set in both matches ended in the same way as the 1st as LSE go 2 - 0 up within the half hr. Things looked good.

Will Rowlands-Rees and Tom Kilpatrick went on next to faced their shell-shocked opponents, who had only seconds to say lines of sympathy to their fallen teammates before they were hearing the same as they both went 1 set down within minutes of play. Needless to say, the following games fell like bowling pins and with hardly any effort at all, LSE were up 4 - 0 and the fixture was won.

Finally, goggle boy arrived, kitted up and went about his usual warm up routine of playing squash without a ball (you have to be there to see it!) After his opponent stopped sniggling, they kicked off what appeared to be a good match. 10 stroke rallies, delicate drops and superhuman lunges were the norm in the first few points. But goggle boy was way too fit for his IC opponent and easily took the match, losing only 3 points.

How were our boys feeling after their matches?
Justin: Who wants to play somemore?
Will : Lets go to the Tuns for drinks!
Aidan: That was easy, wasn't it?
EK: I'll join you guys in the tuns, don't think I need to shower
Tom: I want yellow T-shirts and hoodies!

That sums up the match, till the next match
