Vs Dyrham & Hinton 22nd May 2005 Result – Match Abandoned; Kit Boy Owen; Tea Duty Craig The great English weather provided the “shall we bother” debate as persistent rain put the game in serious doubt. LSCC went against the metrological office and went ahead with Sunday’s match against a new team on the fixture list, Dyrham & Hinton. The match was reduced to 30 overs a side with the impending bad weather and LSCC won the toss and elected to bat; only 20 overs were bowled before the weather caused the match to be abandoned with LSCC on 125-3. Twist had stroked his way to 81 not out, but the fans favourite moment of the day was a duck for opener Owen which secured him his first kit boy, after gloating at the start of the season that he had never been kit boy before, no one likes a gloater!!
