Open Show
The Open Show is essentially a conformation show for small animals. In it, the animals are divided up into groups, and the groups are divided up into breeds. The groups are: Rabbits, Rats, and Other. When you enter your animal, you must enter it in the correct group and list the breed/species as it is written on the standard. You must also submit a picture of your full grown small animal in a show pose with thehead either facing to the side or towards the camera. Please do not enter more than four animals per breed per show. The judges will judge the animals based on how well they fit the LSAPC breed standard which reflects the real life standards.

Open Show Judging

The judges will pick a BOB (Best of Breed) and a BOS (Best of Opposite Sex) from each breed if there are at least three animals entered for that breed. BOS is only awarded if there are at least 2 remaining animals of the other gender after the BOB is picked for that breed. If there are not enough animals to award a BOB, then the judge will pick an DW (Default Winner) that will compete for a group placement. For each group, the judge will then go over their BOBs and the DWs and award a G1 (1st place group winner) and a G2 (second place group winner). Next, the judge will look over the G1 winners and award an overall BIS (Best in Show) and a RBIS (Reserve Best in Show). The results from the show will then be posted on the forum.

Open Show Points
You must keep track of your animals' points yourself, but all the old show results will be archived on the forum and website to make it easier for you. The points awarded for open shows are as follows:
BIS - 7
RBIS - 6
G1 - 5
G2 - 4
BOB - 2
BOS - 2
There are no points awarded for DWs.

Specialty Shows
Specialty shows are conformation shows for a specific breed or group. The rules are the same as the are above except for unlimited entries and champions have a class. The entries will be judged on how well they fit the LSAPC breed standard.

Specialty Show Judging
The judge will carefully consider all the entrants and award a BIS (Best in Show). Then the judge will go back over the entries of the opposite gender and award a BOS (Best of Opposite Sex) if there are two or more entries of that gender. Finally if there is enough entries, the judge will award AOM (Award of Merit) placements to other entries; the amount of AOMs handed out depends on how many entries there are.

-Champions Competition: In the Champions Competition small animls who have completed their LSAPC championship and have proof (list on LSAPC site). The judge will decide upon a BOB and BOS winner as in the Open Show format. The wins are the same amount as the specialty show points; the difference is that they are going for the GrCH title.

Specialty Award of Merits
The number of AOM placements are determined by how many entries there are in a show. These numbers are the total of all the entrants in one breed. When written on show results there is no order and their gender does not matter.
6-10 - one AOM
11-15 - two AOMs
16-20 - three AOMs
20-30 - four AOMs
31+ - five AOMs

Specialty Show Points
You must keep track of your animals' points yourself, but all the old show results will be archived on the forum and website to make it easier for you. The points awarded for Specialty Shows are as follows:
BIS - 4
BOS - 3
AOM - 2

Classics
Classics are big shows that have several classes that you may enter. You may enter any or all of these classes. The classes are all judged separately. You can have unlimited entries. The following is an explanation of the rules and judging for each class.

-Conformation: Same rules/judging as the Open Show (listed above), except that you are allowed unlimited entries.

-Brace: The brace class is for a pair of full grown animals. Both animals must be registered and must be of the same species/breed. Ideally, the animals' coloring/markings are somewhat similar. Both animals must be in a show pose (the poses may be different styles). The pictures must be merged together into one picture, but may NOT overlap. The entrants are judged as a combination of BOTH animal's conformation along with the overall appearance of the brace. The judge will award the Best Brace and a Reserve. There must be at least three entries in a class in order to award a Reserve. If there is only one brace they will win a DW (Default Winner) and no points.

-Progeny: This class is for either a male or a female and ONE of his/her progeny. Both animals must be registered. Ideally, the animals' coloring/markings are somewhat similar. The progeny can either be either a baby or full grown, but must be registered. The parent must be full grown. The age of the progeny will have no impact on the judging. Both animals must be in show poses, although the pose styles may be different. The pictures must be merged together into one picture, but may NOT overlap. The entrants are judged as a combination of BOTH the parent and the progeny's conformation, along with the overall appearance of the pair. The judge will award the Best Male, Reserve Male, Best Female, and Reserve Female. If there is only one progeny entry (of either gender) they will win a DW (Default Winner) and no points.

-Baby Conformation: This class is for small animals who are not yet full grown. It follows the same rules/judging as the Open Show (listed above), except that the animals are not full grown and you are allowed unlimited entries.

-Champions Competition: Only LSAPC small animal champions that have proof (list on LSAPC site) are allowed to compete in this class. Small Animal champions are judged similar to those in the Open Show format though the wins go towards their GrCH title and do not effect any non-champions.
