This is a simple but very beautiful poem.

Extension

This poem lends itself well to just about anything. It would be great for daily weather reports (morning circle time)—along with other poems about clouds, sun, rain, etc. It would be great in a science unit about weather OR about light—what makes a rainbow. It could be used with a unit on colors. (What colors make up a rainbow?)
