| increase ZTA's support of breast cancer awareness by backing all organizations committed to breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. Each year members distribute one million waterproof shower cards which identify how to perform breast self-examinations; volunteer at more then 86 Race for the Cure events nationwide; and co-sponsor the Survivor Program for the Race series. | The ZTA Foundation | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The ZTA Foundation conducts an annual fund raising campaign within the membership to give every ZTA the opportunity to shar in the responsibility for providing resources to continue ZTA worthwhile work in philanthropy and programming for women within and without the Fraternity. Annual giving may be accomplished in a variety of ways, including: cash contributions and gifts of stock, securities and real estate. Corporate matching gift-giving programs are available by many large corporations. Planned gifts may be made or will during the donor's lifetime. THe major types of planned gifts are bequests, life insurance and charitable remainder trusts. Collegiate and alumnae members traditionally contribute the the Foundation on Founder's Day by giving Birthday Pennies (one penny for each year of ZTA's existence) which becomes part of the General Scholorship Fund. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Annually, the ZTA Foundation provides nearly $150,000 in scholorships and grants to undergraduate and graduate ZTA members and non-members.
