December Holiday with Mommy, Lexi, and Chandler

Christmas 2005... we had Heather's Mom - Diane, her sister - Alexis, and her brother - Chandler. Lexi is seven here, and Chandler is six. They ended up with (from me) the nicknames of Lexi-doodle and Chan-man.

Christmas was fun. I'd get up every morning with Mommy, and she and I would have our time with tea for about half an hour to an hour before everyone else got up. It was great. She showed me some neat things to make (she's a good cook - she taught me how to make really good sausage gravy from scratch... I would have never thought to use the sausage grease to get it to come out smooth and creamy), and she was always around for hugs when I needed them. Oh, and she still calls to check on me a few times a week. She adopted me as one of her kids... I wanted to cry.

Mommy came out to see Narnia with me, Erin, Kelsey, Dan, and Shreyas... and the only reason she didn't come see me dance was because we couldn't find a good time for her to. She and I have recently been watching Dancing With the Stars, which she got me into, because it gives us something that is uniquely ours to talk about. I couldn't ask for a better mommy.

Lexi is a cutie. She wants to dance ballet (which I couldn't help her with too much... but I gave it my best shot), she's almost always smiling, and she loves to color and play a game about grooming a pegasus on 'Barbie and the Magical Pegasus'... she could play that thing for hours on end, and just mix and match choices all day. Oh, and she used to come crawl into bed with me when no one else was up... fun stuff.

Chandler was a handful. He's a six year old hurricane... don't take that to mean that he's not a blast though. He and Lexi made me several pictures to hang up... I don't think I've ever had kids make me pictures before. It was neat. He likes Cats Don't Dance, action figures, and going with Mommy wherever she goes. Oh, and to do his version of dancing... it's cute, really.

They both are great at giving hugs (believe me, don't leave the house without giving them one... they feel like you don't care), and at playing together. They were fun to have here... hopefully they will be back next summer.

So... here they are... no, I don't have pics with Mommy... though I don't know why... anyways... have fun!

WARNING!! WARNING!! This is a huge amount of pictures... so I apologize if it takes a while to load... I may put Christmas Day on another page...
We wanted to make Mommy, Lexi, and Chandler feel at him... what better way to do that then to let them know they are welcome?

This, and the picture of the banner above (I candy-caned the stairs if you look close) were my attempt at decorating the house besides the tree... pathetic, perhaps, but Mommy, Lexi, and Chandler seemed to like it.

Yes, I love the camera, and this was my first tree in Maryland, so I wanted before and after pictures... of course, the after come with the group pics and Christmas pics...

Lexi, Heather, and Chandler all had a tickle war... that is, Lexi was pouting, which started the tickle war. Heather's tickling Lexi, Heather's tickling Chandler, and then Lexi and Chandler are tickling each other.

Lexi and Heather after we'd finished decorating the Christmas tree... you know me... I had to have pictures!

Chandler and Heather... cute shot.

Alright, now it's my turn to be in the pics with the kids... I think I have them in chronological order... hmm...

Me and Lexi-doodle.

My Chan-Man and I...

Lexi-doodle, Chan-man, and I... hee hee...

Christmas pics are on the next page...
