Chapter 6 *The next day* I woke up at 11 the next day and quickly jumped into the shower. I ate some cereal and at 11:30 I headed over to Nick's to hang out with BJ. I found her in the backyard, reading a book while sunbathing. "Hey." I said and smiled as I sat down. "Hey, I'm so glad you could make it! Wanna go the mall? I've got money." BJ said and smiled. I laughed. "Sure. You got a car?" I asked. "Nah. We borrow Nick's. He won't say no to you." She said and winked. "Hehe, okay then." I said and followed BJ inside. "Niiiiick???" BJ said in that *I-want-something*-voice. "Whatever it is, NO!" Nick said, not looking up his book. "Ey, Carter, give your sis a break. She just wanna borrow your car so we can go to the mall." I said and smiled to Nick, as he looked at me. "Really? Umm... okay then." Nick said. "Thanks, bro." BJ said and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, Daddy." I joked and stuck out my tongue at him and followed BJ out to the car. We reached the mall 20 minutes later and first walked into Victoria's Secret. "If you have a boyfriend, you'll drive him absolutely crazy with the stuff they have in here. Believe me - I've tried it and it works!" BJ said quietly and giggled. I smiled. "Thanks for the tip. I think we'll wait a bit with this, though." I said and smiled to BJ. "Okay. Let's go." She said and we walked out of there. At 3 we were really tired and just wanted to go home. "Isn't it weird how going to the mall always makes you so tired? I mean, I'm always exhausted after being there for an hour." I said. BJ nodded. "I know. Ugh, and I feel sweaty. Hey, let's go take a swim in Nick's pool!" BJ said and smiled to me. "You sure he won't mind?" I asked doubtfully. "Not at all! Hey, you should invite Justin and Ashley too." BJ said. "Justin is over at Britney's and I'm going out with Ashley tonight, so I'd rather not." I said, while BJ drove out of the parking lot. "Oh. Well, we'll just invite Nick and Aaron then." BJ said and smiled to me. "Hey, I've got a question. You and Aaron, you don't live here, do ya?" I asked. "Nope, we're just visiting. We're going home in September." She said. "Where do you live?" I asked. "California. I've thought about buying a house here though. To be closer to Nick... and now I've got a new friend, so it makes me wanna move here even more!" She said and squeezed my hand. "Aaawwz, hehehe, that's so sweet! I'm so glad you're here. I thought I would be stuck with Britney as my only girl-friend." I said, rolling my eyes. BJ saw it and laughed. "Too much, eh?" She said and winked. "Sometimes." I replied tiredly. We got back to Nick's house and BJ told me to just walk over into the backyard when I'd changed into my bathing suit. I was back 5 minutes later and my spanking new blue bikini. "Wow, you look hot!" BJ said from the pool and smiled to me. "Hehe, thanks." I said and jumped in. BJ swam over to me. "I bet Nick will fall for you now." She whispered. "Girl, what is that "thing" you got for Nick and me hooking up?!" I asked, laughing. BJ shrugged. "Nothing, I just think you'd be a really cool sister-in-law. That's all." She said. "Oh, so now you want me to marry him?" I asked, laughing again. "Marry who?" Nick said as he walked out. "No one." BJ quickly replied. "No one, huh?" Nick said, as he jumped into the pool. "Yeah, no one." BJ said again. I just smiled. "Whatcha smilin' at, huh, girl?!" Nick grinned, as he attacked me under water, tickling me. I yelled. "No, Nick, stop it please, I'm so ticklish!" I yelled, in between laughs. "Then tell me whatcha smilin' at!" Nick yelled. "Okay, okay, just stop." I said. Nick stopped tickling me and I looked at him and smiled. "You." I said. "What?" Nick said. "You." I just said again and swam over to BJ. "What the hell do you mean by 'You'???" Nick yelled, frustrated. "Ah, see, when you lay in bed at night, you will wonder about that and you will think about me then. So I'm not gonna tell you right now." I said and stuck out my tongue at him. "Crazy chick." Nick muttered. I could only agree with him. Story Index Next Chapter |
