Welcome to the 9th week of the LAST quarter in the 2008-2009 school year.

This is the last week of class left before Final Exams.

Monday, May 25 is a school holiday

The semester II gradebook for Seniors is closed

Well, it has been a marathon this year, but the finish line is in sight.  Encourage your student to finish the year in a positive fashion by working hard all the way through final exams.

 

The Final Exam is 80 multiple-choice questions and 20 fill-in questions

 

The 20 fill-ins cover naming, Formula-writing, balancing, and classifying chemical reactions.  These 20 questions will cover the "new" material since our last exam.  This material is from chapter 9.

 

The remaining 80 questions will be:

 

20 questions from the Chapters 4.4 & 5 exam--Chemical Elements & Ionic Compounds.

 

20 questions from the Chapter 6 exam--Covalent Bonds & Molecular Forces.

 

20 questions from the Chapter 7 exam--Carbon & Organic Compounds.

 

20 questions from the Chapter 8 exam--Moles.

 

**Students have been given a Final Exam "Review Guide".**

 

Final Exam Schedule:

Tuesday, June 3 -- zero, 1st, and 7th period finals

Wednesday, June 4 -- 3rd, 4th, and 5th period finals

Thursday, June 5 -- 2nd and 6th period finals
