The critically acclaimed folk-country duo of singer Gillian Welch and guitarist David Rawlings has a knack for creating new material which could pass for centuries-old traditional ballads. Their February 2000 acoustic performance was a sellout. Shown here is their first album, REVIVAL, released on Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss' Almo Sounds label and signed at an especially fun post-show meet-and-greet. After a second set for Almo, HELL AMONG THE YEARLINGS, they participated in the "O Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack and currently record for their own label, Acony. |
