| Mrs. Lois Moore ~ BS Mrs. Moore holds a BS in Elementary Education and earned forty hours in Criminal Justice. She has taught for thirteen years in the Nebraska Public School system and eight years at the Nebraska Center for Women. At the Center, she taught parenting courses, certified one half of the population in CPR, and managed the Child Visitation Program. Mrs. Moore has had stories and poetry published in national publications. Mrs. Moore has raised three children of her own and four foster children. |
| Mrs. Carol Plate ~ MS Mrs. Plate is an Extension Educator for the University of Nebraska. She has earned a BS in Vocational Education from the University of Nebraska and a MS in Human Development and Family from the University of Nebraska. Mrs. Plate worked on her master's program through distance education courses via the telephone (before satellite and Internet options were available). She and her husband Paul, a rancher-farmer, have two daughters and five grandchildren. Mrs. Plate's hobbies include music and needlework. |
| Mrs. FaDonna Goodnight ~ RN, MN Mrs. Goodnight graduated from Ft. Hays State Univesity with a BS in Nursing in 1977 and the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1986 with a Masters in Nursing. She worked as a traveling nurse for the High Plains Mental Health during 1977-1980. Mrs. Goodnight was the Director of Continuing Education for the School of Nursing at Ft. Hays State University, 1980-1983. She married Don Goodnight and moved to Washington state where she worked as Mammography Educator doing mammograms, physical exams and education. She traveled the Seattle area doing education for physicans and nurses. Ms. Goodnight retired to Long Pine in 1996 and now does volunteer work for the Long Pine Continuing Education Center. |
| Mrs. Wardene Roark Mrs. Roark attended the Brown Mackie School of Busienss in Salina, Kansas. She has held civil service positions in the areas of Secretary-Stenographer, Statistical Clerk, and Administrataive Assistant. After moving back to this area, Mrs. Roark has held positions in a bank and as the office manager for the superintendent of schools. She is currently a broker for her own real estate company. She and her husband, Jack Roark (who made a career in the United States Air Force), have two sons and six grandchildren. Mrs. Roark's hobbies include crafts, needlework, and genealogy. She is active in the following organizations: Order of Eastern Star, Long Pine Chamber of Commerce, Order of Eastern Star Past Matrons, Sandhills Shrine Club Auxiliary, Long Pine Continuing Education Center, Brown County Visitors Promotion Committee, Long Pine Seven Springs, Inc. (Bottling Plant), Lamplighters Service Club, Long Pine Heritage Society, Long Pine Community Center, VFW Auxiliary, and Legion Auxiliary. |
| Marjorie Wilkins - Marge recently retired from teaching at the Ainsworth Community Schools. She has had extensive work in implementing grants through her work with the Long Pine Trail Project and the Long Pine State Recreation area near Long Pine. |
| Mr. Bill Lukehart Bill served as the Mayor of Long Pine and was very instrumental in the establishment of the Long Pine Continuing Education Center. |
| Mr. Lynn Moore Lynn has his MSEE and is a retired electrical engineer with Nebraska Public Power. He is now currently serving as the chairman of the Brown County Commissioners, the governing body of the County in which Long Pine is located. |
