| Getting to Castle Level: From the forest in the northwest corner travel south into Kakariko Village east to Link's house. From Link's House travel north to the all to familar Hyrule Castle. A thing to consider before going inside is whether or not you want to grab fairies, i would advise you to take some fairies because they are key to survival in Level 4. To get fairies go to Link's house and to the north west of it is a giant rock surrounded by many trees, lift the rock to reveal stairs. Below the stairs is a fairy fountain containing 4 fairies that will come back every time you leave the cave. To capture a fairy you need a bottle and a net. Swing the net to capture it and, it will heal you whenever you die so don't worry if you have one. Castle Level Revisted: Inside will be the familar site of the castle where you rescued Princess Zelda at the beginning of the game. To get to the new dungeon that we are headed to you need to pick either the right door or the left door. From either door you need to go south and head up stairs to reach the second floor. Once on the second floor, head south through the south door to get outside onto the roof. Now on the roof head to the center to the door blocked by electric barrier with a bat type thing. Slash the bat thing to destroy the electric barrier blocking the door. Go through the door to start the new level. Castle Tower Rescue: Okay, now that we are in this new level keep in mind many floors up is Aghanim the evil wizard who stole Princess Zelda, and we need to go up their kill him and rescue Princess Zelda for the second time. First, travel north through the north door into the next room. In this room we must kill two mace knights, whom we killed one of in the first rescue as a sort of boss. Only now all we need to do is use the sword beam (just slash repetively with full health) to kill them from a safe distance or kill them hand to hand with the sword like before, but i would highly discourage doing that. Once killed travel east through the east door. In this room use the sword beam at the door way to kill the two knights and open the chest to get the key. Now head through the north door, and up the stairs to the 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor use sword beam to kill the knights, and travel through the west door. In this room to the west allow it may seem hard with alot of enemies, with total darkness do not fret because they are all barred off so once again use your sword beam to kill as many as you can and then lift pots to restore health, and as a weapon if necessary. Open the chest to the west to recieve a key. Open, and travel through the southeast door to the next room. In this room use sword beam, (Getting old? Trust me its necessary and faster.) Now travel up the north stairs to the 4th floor. Once upstairs use sword beam to kill the knight and archer, and travel through the west door. In this room watch your step and be sure to use sword beam whenever you see or hear guards nearby. In the northwest corner move the block (carefully) to open the door to the east. Now travel through the east door. This room has 2 archers and a knight at all angles so be cautious and don't worry if you get hit because there is many pots scattered around that can heal you inside the tower. Now head through the north door after collecting the key, and go up the stairs to the 5th floor. This room is very tricky be careful and hide behind statues and listen to the plaque for help. When they throw their spears make sure your shield is centered with the flying spears so you don't get hurt. Once the knights and bats are dead travel through the west door. Once again use your shield to protect yourself and make sure to not get pinned against any walls. Once the two spear soldiers are dead head south through the south door. This room should be a quick relieve after some of the previous rooms. Kill the bat(s) and throw pots over the metal walls to kill the spear soldier. Throw all the remaining pots to find the key if you haven't already and to recover health. Now head through the east door. This room without full health will be very tricky, and will require careful maneuvers and attacks. With full health all you need to do is use your sword beam and shield, also try to keep a safe distance from all 3 knights. My advice is to aim for the spear, and sword knights first since they are faster. Kill the mace knight last. Once they are all defeated travel up the north stairs to the 6th floor. Once upstairs make a careful approach and push the west most statue to the west and be cautious around the enemies, mainly the bow slinger knights. Once you've killed all 3 knights head west through the west door. This room is just a narrow walkway heading north so use your sword beam if you have it still and use great caution otherwise. A great strategy is to slowly walk east to lure the guards attention, which will cause him to jump off the walkway. The second guard will have to be lured south to the safe area without a small walkway and then killed or knocked off the edge. Once both guards are dead head north up the stairs to the 7th floor. This first room is useless just like the entrance room on the 1st floor. Head north through the north door. In this room talk to Aghanim and witness the teleportation of Princess Zelda to the Dark World. Once they dissapear head around the pedestal to the north center most curtain and slash it with your sword to reveal a door. Now head through the north door to fight a boss battle with Aghanim with the familar boss theme. Castle Boss: Aghanim: There is only two ways to kill Aghanim first, to kill him by bouncing his flame balls off your sword until he loses after a certain amount hit him, or second, to bounce his flame balls back at him with your bug catching net until he is defeated with a certain amount of flame balls. I always use the bug catching net because it is easier and more effective but if you don't have it you should use your sword to bounce the flame balls back at him until he defeated. Once Aghanim is defeated he will draw you into the Dark World onto the Pyramid of Power where you will find a heart piece and a message from Sahasrahla. He will tell you to save the seven maidens and destroy Ganon, although he didn't mention rescueing the Golden Power and restoring the Dark World and the Light World to perfect peace, that is also a part of the plan. To continue the guide head over to Part VII. Part VII will continue the guide from the Pyramid of Power and will cover all of the Level 1 Dark World Dungeon. -End of Part VI- |
