Our mission is to promote growth, and to offer a safe environment for healing. We will offer services to those individuals and families who are seeking a better way of life, without the need of chemicals to ease their pain. We will give those individuals the guidance they need to balance and strengthen their lives. This is your life, we are just tour guides, to help heal the mind, heart, body and spirit.

As much as we would like to be the answer for everyone, we can only service those individuals who are serious about improving the quality of their lives. For those individuals, we will use compassion, empathy, and respect to assist in meeting the goals they seek. With this, we will all strengthen the Lower Brule Tribe.

Lower Brule Counseling Services' philosophy includes the belief that alcoholism is preventable. It also includes that prevention is the promotion of wellness among individuals and community and not the intervention into problems so as to keep them from growing in severity or complexity. The major focus of prevention must be developing the capabilities of children through families, schools, and community.
