Del Mar Beach
Here are some more things about our trip to Del Mar Beach.
This is some general scenery of Del Mar Beach.

This is a picture of the Del Mar Fair. It's a pretty big deal in this town. It goes on for a few months. There's a lot of games, rides, and food to eat. We went one night... we had an ok time because unfortunately there were also a lot of people there as well and others always ruin everything.

This is the shitty hotel we stayed in. Other peoples beer bottles were left in the room who stayed there before us, the bathroom was dingy, it had a bad smell outside the room, there were low class people smoking cigarettes in the hot tub of our hotel, we were put in a handicapped room, there were hairballs on the floor of the bathroom, the complimentary breakfast was bad with warm juice and everything else, and we found a crab crawling around in our room too. But even though it sucked we made a few of our own special memories in that room!

And for next time we definately know where to stay! The L'Auberge Del Mar Resort and Spa. It was a beauitful place both inside and out. It had nice balconies in every room, a very nice layout with fountains outside, it was right on the beach, it was near all the fine restaurants, the hotel workers were higher class, the rooms looked very clean, and the loby inside was fixed up very nicely with a piano in it and everything.

Perhaps one of the highlights of our trip was eating at this great restaurant called Pacifica. It was very pricey but you get what you pay for! The food was excellent. I had a filet mignon that just melted in your mouth literally and Kristina had lobster which was also very good. This place was located in the Plaza where was kind of like a small outdoor mall with very fancy restaurants and extravagent shops.

We also ate at two other restaurants while we were there. The first night we ate at a place called the Poseidon. It was pretty good. It's just the food was prepared a little too fancy for our tastes so all we had were cheeseburgers but they were very good! It was also a very pretty place because we sat out on the deck and got to overlook the ocean while we ate.

The other place we ate at was an Italian place called Il Fornaio. Like Pacifica it was also located in the plaza. It was funny because all the waiters were Mexian with fake Italian accents. The food was just so-so. Again it was kind of fancy so we just got pizza. This was the night we went to the Del Mar fair. If we had known there would've been so much food at the fair we definately would've eaten there instead!
