Hypnotherapy has been known to help some people to stop smoking, but not everyone is susceptible to hypnotherapy. Nicotine patches, by releasing low levels of nicotine into the bloodstream, are supposed to obviate the need to smoke to satisfy the craving. But while this may work for someone who only smokes up to ten cigarettes a day, it's certainly not going to be enough to satisfy a heavy smoker who is addicted to much higher doses of nicotine. Then there is "Zyban", which is only available on prescription, due to side effects which can be very serious for some people. Then there is Laser Therapy, which was like a magic wand for me. After 52 years of smoking since I was six years old, and trying all the other remedies, I finally tried Laser Therapy at the Anne Penman clinic at Harmston, near Lincoln. The therapist, Alyson Spurr, sat me in a comfortable recliner, and went to work on me. After the first one hour session, I had no desire for a cigarette, and after two more booster sessions, I was completely cured. No pain or discomfort, and no side effects. |
