Wavering
Shivering
She wavers
She fights to stand straight
But still she wavers
A breeze
She falls
Tumbles
Into the world beneath her
The coldness of the rain
Refreshes her dead soul
A fight
To stand up straight
And finally
She does
A bright light
A magnificent breeze
Her eyes
Focused on a point
She receeds
And again
Wavers
Shelter is all she asks
A place of sanctuary
A place of truth
She fights
The light
The breeze
But still
She wavers
Her thoughts mix
Her mind goes blank
She feels she can no longer fight
But her will is too strong
Her honor
Too priceless
So she trudges on
And wavers
She longs
She longs to find it
Her lost will
Her lost life
She once had one,
A life,
But it was too glorious
Too rightious
For her to follow
So, she strayed
Found an alternate path
Which is where she is now
Shivering
Trudging
Wavering
She knows no right,
No wrong,
For she has been trudging
All her life
And still
She trudges on
And wavers
A branch
She stumbles
Gathers herself together
And truthfully
She wavers over doing that
Her body
So weak-willed
So helpless
If she could only reach
Shelter
If that bright light,
Which drew her down this path
Could lead to shelter
She wants to believe
Believe in the light
Believe in the end
Of this torture
Yet she finds herself
Wanting to stop
Wanting to wait out the storm
Die if she has to
But still wait
So, she almost stays
Almost lies back to cry
But she doesn't
Cause she can't
The light she has walked on for
The end, she believes
Is only a little further
So she walks
She trudges on
Shivering
And wavering.
